Default Need Everyone's Advice: Caliper Covers

Well, I broke down and bought a set of four 14" rotors. I did not get the calipers since I could not see myself shelling out $1000.00+ for more that two pistons.

Having said that I wonder if anyone has these covers on their car?

Home

I am getting the Baer 14" EradiSpeed_plus rotors and want to dress up the calipers. I want to know what you guys think...

Hmm, sounds pretty interesting. I was going to get a Caliper Paint Kit from AmericanMuscle, but who knows, this may be the better way to go. I look forward to seeing your results.

What a great idea those things are.

I would order a set now myself if I were sure they would fit with the deep dish bullitt rims I have.

I've been thinking about having my calipers painted black but I think those covers would be even better.

I agree FuzzyDice, I have e-mailed them already and asked about my set-up as well. I am not sure how much clearance I would have once I install my rotors, which by the way, ARRIVE TODAY!!

Tracking features are soooo cool!! I feel like Opie in the music man waiting for the Wells Fargo wagon...

Hey, if not me then who, huh ?

Besides, it's a rare opportunity make Mark feel "mod envy"

Oh, and my "wheels" are currently being -"re-classified" by the DMV, who have advised me that they're not quite certain what I'm driving anymore and whether it's "licensable" (their word, not mine) for public highways.

Well, you asked.

Those are horribly cheezy. Do they also have faux Wiand 8-71 blowers to stick on your hood?

You might be right on that, in which case they will "wing there way" back to CA just like the "faux" aluminum steering wheel appliques I bought from MossMustang did.

Hey, and as far as those Wiand 8-71 blower "badges" go, I say this: "badges we don't need no stink'in badges !!!"

The aluminum colored are not too bad. I agree that the colored ones are way too flashy. I was going to go with the caliper paint before I ran into this site.

I have a great coolness gauge in my son, David. Hence my log name, J&D. We show my car sometimes and he has nixed several options just because I trust his taste. I still like the aluminum colored ones. Or even the ready to paint with my color. I know where to by windveil blue ceramic paint....

I bought the Duplicolor kit in blue, so this will be my first step in my decision. I think that the covers will look ok with the larger rotors.

Please continue with the candid remarks, I do not feel bad about negative comments, or positive ones. This is why I post, I trust this site for constructive criticism.
