Default Excatly how picky is the TPMS?

So on my way to work today I got a nice DING! with "Low Tire Pressure" showing on the dash. My drive to work is 30 miles each way, and I'm about 15 miles through it. I know there's a gas station ahead, so I drive there.
I get out and look around, this place doesn't have one of those air pump station, things. Shoot. I don't have my carrying kit that I put in my cars in this one yet, as I haven't had time to put one together (usually carry red flag, basic tools, air pressure gague, other misc. items with me).
So, instead I visually inspect each tire. None of them look low at all. Being that I'm quickly realizing without my gauge any one of the tires could be a few lbs shy of where they "should" be, and no real way to other wise gauge them than looking/pushing on them, I decide to drive the rest of the way here. As soon as I got back in and started the car, same warning. Dolp.
So I got here and did another round of looking, still nothing.

Now, I don't know if this is coincidence or not. Last evening I installed my flowmasters and Steeda CAI, as well as "tuned" it with the SCT X3 w/ 91 Octane tune (had 1/3 tank 87, 2/3 tank 93 in it). I drove it after this tune for about 20 miles with no problems at all.

So, my question is did me tuning it throw something out, and it took this long to come up, or do I really have a low tire I should be overly concerned about? I didn't bring my SCT to work to re-flash to stock to make sure.

Anyone know how picky the TPMS is? Does it go off if I'm 0.5 lb under? Just curious .

(For what it's worth, I check my tires every weekend, and they were all fine on saturday).

Your tuning didn't have anything to do with the TPMS. If you have the tire pressure set to factory specs and I would use the same gage and you are still getting the lite you probable have a bad sensor.

From what i understand the TPMS will only report if there is a 20% change in tire pressure.

My TPMS light went off, i looked at my tires and they looked fine. I kept driving like that for a few days, one day i kept hearing clicks from the rear that clicked faster as i was driving and after closely inspecting a tire i noticed a nail in my tire.

There was still plenty of air left in the tire and i did not notice a change in performance but the TPMS noticed that the tire pressure had moved 20%, so it let me know.

Check your tires well, are there any sounds coming from tires while driving? YOu most likely have a slow leak that can be patched up, try a tire shop, they can prolly find it fast.

I checked the tires thoroghly for nails/screws/etc. When I get home tonight I'll be able to easily check for slow leaks (soapy water method).
First I'm going to check the tire pressure in all of the tires. Car only has 3200 miles on it, so I really hope there's not an issue with the TPMS already. If there is, I'll be forced to do something I don't want to do...
