Default SCT or Diablo Sport for V6?

What tuner do you guys suggest?

How many programs does the diablo hold because the SCT only seems to hold 3.

I will be purchasing one soon here so I need some feedback!

Thanks

SCT Advantage III tuning software is far superior to the Diablosport software.

I would go with what local dealers tune with more. Can't really go wrong with either one, both are great

+1 on the elaboration. A blanket statement like that doesn't answer any questions.

what you should do is go to both web sites and read the forums. from what i understand, both have good points and bad. i went with diablo sport. i had to wait 4 months for them to update the predator so it would support my 07. i don't know what things scat has going on, but just read the forums and that will give you an inside look at the problems that people are having.

where do you live? Find out who will be dyno tuning you car and what program/tuner they wotk with.
It doesnt do any good to get an SCT if the Dyno guy cant access it with his input. The same holds true with the diablo tuner.
I know each is good but to get the max out of any "canned" aftermarket tune you should have it dyno tuned and whatever they (Dyno guys/gals)use is what you should get. IMHO

It's a better overall tune plus it's the software that the majority of dyno tuners use.

I concur. The SCT software is used by the majority of tuners and the software seems to be a better design, more focused on the needs of the tuner. I have been told on several occasions by several tuners that the Diablosport software is good software, but it is more about the software then the needs of the tuner.

That's just my .02

I have the SCT Xcalibrator II with two tunes by Doug at Bama Chips. They are good, but they are "locked". My tuner is not open to tweaking those tunes. The guy I wanted to have dyno my car could do only that, dyno it. He cant adjust anything else to improve this tune. According to him,had it been a diablo predator he could open it up and squeeze some more ponies out of it.
Thats all

Why wouldn't your guy just write you a dyno tune? I mean if I'm paying for a dyno tune, that's what I expect. Not someone just tweaking an existing tune?!?! Unless it's his to start with.

I can completely understand Doug wanting to protect his intellectual product (that is what he is doing). I mean if Doug's tunes weren't locked what's to keep from 50 other people copying it and selling it on the internet??

I'm not certain but I believe you can lock a tune with any device....could be wrong, but that's my understanding.

+1... I've had multiple canned tunes redone on the dyno.

I think both can only hold 3, but I know with SCT that you can download the tunes to your pc and store them there. AFter that it is safe to remove them from the tuner and load more or restore them at a later time. So, in fact, you really have access to as many tunes as your pc can store.

Edit: Actually the SCT holds 4 cuz it stores your stock tune as well.
