Question Black out lights options

OK Check this out: I have a black 05 mustang v6 right? well I want to black out the lights but I don't want it to be permanent as I might get an upgraded mustang or just stay with what I have right now I'm not at that bridge yet..SO I was wondering what you guys and girls thought about the ones that install onto my regular lights...the smoke light covers..I found them here Ford Mustang Accessories & Parts | 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009

i have covers on mine, but i also have gt grill lights still. w/o them i wouldn't be able to see at night . the covers knock out 75% of your headlights. and i hear the cops don't like em and they may be illegal too.

a little cheaper here Mustang Tail Light Covers at AmericanMuscle.com - Free Shipping!
I know several who have these and they seem to work great. Ive got to order me some myself. I would go with only the rear lense cover however, as the front ones do block out a bunch of light. The rear however are still visible and make a great deal of difference appearence wise. Just take a look at the photos and you'll be fine.

i used the 20% tint kit from HeadlightArmor Clear, HID Blue, Racing Yellow, and Smoke Light kits and well the taillights aren't too dark at all, night time and daytime you see plenty of red.. as for my headlights, they are useless at night- i rely on my fogs to give me light.

Depends on the state, but the tinted covers are not legal for both headlight and taillight. Whether the cop wants to enforce the violation is a different story.

I run the front covers on mine, but not on the fogs. I used to have the rear covers, but went to slotted when I installed the directional lighting. I did however, notice a cluster of scratches on both of my tailights (near the reverse lights), caused by the covers.

I bought my covers off ebay for 25 bucks. Its just a dark peice of high quality tint that you lay over the headlights. Without fog lights though it may not be the best idea to tint them. I would never have tinted mine if I didn't have the center fog lights as well. The visability would be too low.
