Default Caution - HID Conversion for Foose

For any Foose Stallion owners...

If you plan on converting your headlights to HID, be sure to check to see what type of bulb your car uses. I recently ordered a HID conversion kit and assumed that it used the H13 bulb like all other 2005+ mustangs that I knew of. Bad assumption. My 2007 Foose uses the H4/2003 bulb. Not a big deal, just a different bulb configuration which means you need to order a different kit. Just check before you order.

H4 Bulb picture attached.

Doesn't look too much different than the stockers. Does it burn brighter or something as opposed to stock? drawing more power?

This is new to me as well that foose edition stangs have their headlights changed

HIDs would be much brighter than stocks.

plus you have extra wiring and 2 transformer boxes to mount in the engine bay. Unless HIDs have changed recently. i am not sure i like the retro stangs with HIDs, unless your fogs match as well.

You are correct, to convert to HID you must have ballasts and a wiring harness of some type. Not a big deal, you just need to make sure you order the right type of kit because the bulb base and the connectors are different. I had ordered the 15K HID kit but the bulb was the wrong configuration for my car. They don't have the 15K in stock for my car so I will probably go with the 10K temp range that they do have. I am out of town for the next week but will post pictures when I get back and get them installed.
