So just about an hour ago i was making a normal left turn while it was raining outside and not even giving it much gas, I fishtailed and spun a 180 into the left turn lane going the opposite direction. Could this have been prevented easier if I had both wheels spinning instead of just my back right?

I guess maybe.....I mean it could depend on a couple factors. For example the surface, the tires are a huge factor cuz the stock pirellis are not that great. But in any sense if you has both wheels spinning it would help with traction.

Just curious what kind of power your putting down with all your mods, I am considering going with a similar set up as you have. Ever dynoed it or raced people to get an idea on what kind of power you have?

Good question, I have not dynoed my car yet. I wish I could but I am still saving up some money so I can go and do that. I have reaced some GT's, lots of them and I can def pull them in the lower speed because of the 4.10s. From around 20 mph to 80 mph I pull GT's very well, but in the higher speeds they start to pull me from around 85mph+. My car is no joke for a six banger, but I am hoping to rebuild my engine with my friend. Maybe get some cylinder heads, cams, and forged pistons and crank. What is is that you wanted to do next with mods?

Actually an open diff is much LESS likely to break loose in low traction conditions. If he had a posi, it would have happened much eaiser, and continued longer, he possibly would have done a 360 instead of a 180 all else being equal. Posi's only help with forward acceleration in a straight line in high grip conditions, they suck for cornering or in low traction situations. Ever try to drive a car with a posi on ice? it is like herding cats.

Aww man...I got you on the other question but you beat me to this one!
billthecougnut is absolutely right. Once the rearend had already broken loose, the posi would have made it much worse. Kinda like having rollerskates on both feet instead of only one. That unpowered, dragging tire actually kept it from being much worse than it would have been.

Well i really want front and rear take off sway bars. I just dont know how much to save up for that. Right now I only have about 400 bucks to spend but i just recently got a job after being out of one for like 3 months lol. I found a guy around here that charges a fair price for installs. After the sway bars I wanna either get 3.73 gears with a tloc or go with a whole new 8.8. Idk if I am going to ever go FI. I really want to but thats pretty expensive lol. What exactly are you doing with your engine? I dont know a whole lot about what your talking about since I just started getting into modding my car about 2 months ago.

I would look into your tires. I have gone throug a lot of tires and the ones that seem to have the worst midlife rain traction are Pirelli and Bridgestone. The best midlife rain traction tires I have used are Goodyear and Michellin. I have BFGoodrich on my car now, since those are the tires that came with the car.

I too have gotten the fish tail but never so bad as to do a 180. Perhaps it was the TCS that helped me. not to insult you or anything, but have you had much practice driving a rear wheel powered car? From my practice, you do the opposite thing on a RW as you do on Front wheel.
SO a T-Lok would have made it worse? Didn't know that.
