Alright so I've got the turbo in the v6 and its plenty fast enough for me, i really need some supporting mods like a rear end and driveshaft but for now im going to focus on exterior mods and here is where i need the opinions.
I want to get the car lower BUT i don't want to sacrifice performance. Does this mean lowering isn't for me? If I can still get lowering springs for my car and it helps performance what brand does everyone recommend? Im not looking for a drastic drop, just an inch or inch 1/2.
I Also am thinking about window louvers for the car, opinions?
Directed to anyone with louvers.. does the louvers cause any problems with not being able to see in your blind spot because i usually look in the window when merging.
I NEED to reduce heat under my hood which is probably best achieved by a hood with heat extractors unless someone has some other ideas so i can actually touch my hood prop when i pop the hood after driving.
PS I already took off the white stripes on the car that say mustang on the side, i must say it looks alot better.

Look for Eibach Pro Kit or some FMS springs. These will lower the car about 1.2-1.5 inches. I think its a great looking stance. Maybe some more suspension mods would be good for ya, thats what im working on now. What gears are you running with the car and have you changed out the thermostat?

I loved it after I lowered the car. It would feel like it was bouncing a bit on the highway. Love the look, love the ride.
You can actually use that little bitty window? I was skeptical on the louvers, but as soon as I realized that using that window was pointless, I went ahead got the louvers. Try driving around without relying on it. If you can, then I say get them. If you can't, then don't. Good looks aren't worth jack if you run into someone because you didn't see them.
Short of getting a new hood, I can't really help you with the temperatures.
I didn't like the stripes either, but it wasn't my place to say anything.
I agree with going with Eibach springs. Though, if you plan on changing out the exhaust with say, side exhaust, you may want to wait to lower the car. I put a Cervinis side exhaust on mine and now I can't lower it at all unless I wanna leave a trail of sparks where ever I go.
As far as louvres go, I got the CDC C-Pillar and don't have any problems looking back through them.....

Eibach Pro Kit or FRPP springs will do the trick for your 1-1 1/2" drop.
If you're still running that thing with the open diff. and you're putting down over 300 rwhp then you should really focus on getting the rear end first. Before I got my tlock installed I had a lot of trouble keeping the tires from spinning during launches and heavy acceleration in general; I can't imagine what it'd be like to run that setup with over 100 horsepower more than I had.
I've got a suggestion for the window louvers. When I wanted to get my scoops I worried about the same issue: the blind spot. I took 2 pieces of cardboard and cut them the shape of the window and crammed them into place, effectively blocking off the windows. Then I drove around like that for a week or so to see what it'd be like. You can always draw fun pictures on the cardboard before you 'install' them.
For the heat problem you might consider taking your grille out and drilling or cutting the plastic out on the sides. If you look at the grille its only really open for airflow in the middle. I'm sure that with a jigsaw and sharp knife you could open up some of the honeycomb on the sides to let in more air flow.
A different t-stat couldn't hurt either, it'd keep your fan running longer. You can also change the temp that the fan turns on with your tuner.

damn you chris, you never posted up any dyno numbers or pics of under the hood I wanna see that this thing can do.
+1 on the power!!
I wouldn't put off the DS long. I'm not real experienced with the 6ers but have heard some pretty negative things about their DS when you put some power to it!

It jumps ship at about 125mph with the stock gears. Of course if you've got a higher ratio installed then it'll jump ship at a lower speed because its spinning faster.
I wouldn't worry about it unless you're consistantly going over 100mph. Like I said i'd be more concerned about the poor traction you're getting from the one-wheel-peel.

I'm gonna try the cardboard...
I have a 180 thermostat installed. they are very cheap and easy install. my shop told me I will not have negative effects and it does help with the hot weather here in GA.
