 FYI: Tillman Speed Mail Order Tuning Dyno Results
Just sharing some mail order dyno results from a customer from Arizona in approx 1000-1100 ft altitude vs. Philadelphia areas 100-200ft altitude. As well, this was done in 92-95 degree weather, its about 25-30 degrees cooler here, easily. Our average humidity is quite a bit more than theirs. Numbers are SAE corrected on a Dynojet. 404.91RWHP/377.99RWTQ - Car was dyno'd at Pro Dyno in Phoenix Arizona using Tillman Speed 93 Octane Street Race tune w/ Conservative Timing.
This is a Roushcharged application in which we sent a conservative 93 octane mail order tune, with our 2.57" Upper S/C Pulley, Metco 90mm Billet Idler, Steeda 90mm Cold Air Kit, with an X3 Powerflash tuner.
We command a leaner (12.5) air fuel ratio up until about 3500rpm where the air fuel drops down (12.0) and holds until redline. We kept the timing numbers very conservative on this tune until we got the results back. Now we can place RN Racing in the area of 425RWHP and just over 400RWTQ with a few small modifications.
As you can see, the air fuels are exactly as commanded. This was done with NO MODIFICATIONS to our mail order tune, the first run (blue) was his baseline before adding our upgrade package. Red and green was our conservative mail order tune.
I just want to stress how mail order tuning can actually be quite affective when you go with a reputable tuner who has experience with your particular application on the dyno. For those of you who know what you're looking at... you'll appreciate the fact that this car has never been touched by Tillman Speed, and is running this efficiently with our "canned" or "cookie cutter" tune.
