Default SC'd stangs + winter driving.

For those of you with daily driver stangs, what's it like to drive them in the winter? Any issues? I'm NOT referring to SNOWY road conditions, more to the effect of freezing temperatures, and if that causes any issues with A/F ratios. Thanks!

The A/F management shouldn't change. It didn't without the S/C.

That's true. Probably worrying just for the sake of worrying.

After driving my GT for three winters in Indiana no problem . Drove a little over 100 miles one night last winter to get home all on ice and two lane all the way . It,s not a 4X4 but use your right foot litely and your fine .

well i dont have the winter experience yet with my mustang... i will this year.... but my pops use to drive a mustang back in the day here in BC when i was in high school..... use to drive no problemo in freezing temps.... just dont drive it the snow imo... you could with a good set of snow tires and weight in the back... and chains i suppose for overkill..... but thats something i guess you would wanna do if you got snow alot.

It just depends how they tune the car and how much boost your running.

If they richen it up and run higher boost then you could have some problems with cold starts but will be fine once the car warms up. I had this problem, we were running a KB and pushing the limits of the stock 4.6l internals. The car was tuned a little rich to protect the stock short block.....not a problem in the summer but winter was a pain!

However, Unless you're doing something along those lines you'll have no problem.
