Default 2005 Mustang GT SLP Exhaust Help

Hi,

I recently put the SLP LoudMouths on to my mustang and I am wondering what I should do next. I definately want to do headers and x pipe or h pipe (im open for suggestions) eventually, but i am not going to do everything at once. What would you suggest I do first, headers or xpipe? I am thinking that I will go all SLP products, but am still undecided.

I would like to put the SLP x-pipe on but I a unsure which one (the shorty xpipe or regular). or should i consider putting a different brand on? what is the difference in the SLP x pipes offered?

Also if I put the shorty SLP xpipe on i know i will need long tube headers, but would I be able to install them on after or would i have to do it all at once. and vice versa, if i put te regular xpipe on could i install the long tube slp headers later?

I'm up for sugessions and even opinions.

Thanks!

I ran SLP headers, X and loudmouths for a short time. Sound was hideous. You can get the SLP modular X and it will run with your stock manifolds and later on with the long tubes.

Yes that will work with either shorties or the OEM manifolds or your can remove the pipes before the cats and use it with SLP long tubes..

i would go headers first. you have to ask yourself where the most restriction is in the system. i would say mufflers then headers. you already have an h pipe which is more than most vehicles have. also the slp's are really loud. you may get some static from the wrong cop if you start adding too much. also smog and inspection concerns could affect you depending on where you live. good thing is slp makes and xpipe with high flow cats and o2 connectors
