i have an 2005 gt convertible. unfortunately it rained a little inside the car and messed up the shaker 1000 head unit. i was wondering if i could replace it with a shaker 500 head unit. the shaker 1000 head unit is hard to find and the shaker 500 is more available. looking for one used if it is available. any info would be helpful

I was under the impression that they are the same head-unit. But they might have different power outputs so better check with one of the guru's here.
