I have been searching high and low for a hood. I like the flat profile of the stock one but I desperately need some heat evacuation to reduce engine bay temps. It would also be a bonus if the hood could let some of the air that enters the engine compartment to escape through the hood and therefore the hood will be less likely to dance and there will be less air under the car which is a good thing. I have already experienced a 150mph+ wheelie in the car, kinda scary. On a bike it wouldn’t bother me a bit, but the car is a much bigger beast. And yes I am getting a splitter too.
I found this hood which appears that they took the 03-04 Cobra hood and made it into a S197 hood. I took the vents and so on out of my Cobra and it ran a very cool engine bay temps and it never danced once, even going 182mph.
Who knows anything about this company?
How do you think the hood looks? Remember I want to be Mr. Low key.
Anyone know of any quality issues
Anyone have one?
Anyone have a side view pic of it or maybe even a corner shot showing the lines of the car at an angle?
look into the kr hood i got a really good deal on mine at cruizin concepts wholesale it looks very good and performes just as good of any that i no of!
The KR hood is nice. I have the Cervinis KR Ram Air hood on order......expecting it early next week. I'm going to paint the louvers flat back.
I looked at it but there is no way that the KR hood has anything near “Ram Air”. To get a “ram air” effect the inlet to the scoop needs to be at least 6-12 inches off of the top surface of the hood. At best it could be called cold air induction. And that would probably not be the correct way to describe it either. At that part of the hood the air is either dead air (not moving) or it is a low pressure zone which would want to pull air out through the holes. That of course probably wouldn’t work very well if at all with the openings facing forward.
My goal is to get air out of the engine compartment. The hood I posted style outlets are about as good as you can get when it comes to evacuating air from the engine compartment. In that area of the hood and along the surface of the hood there is a vacuum that is a couple of inches tall. This vacuum pulls air out of the engine compartment and also gets some help from all the air that is being pushed into the engine compartment through the radiator. Vents like this can evacuate a lot of air very quickly.

Those seem like words that belong on the side of a milk carton.
How long has it been missing?
Yea I was going to say I saw it moving down the street last night. The car is up on jack stands, and the rims and tires are gone.Man that is a nice hood.
