Default What are these?

I took my car to the dealer about a week ago for some warranty work regarding my reverse light switch and today I was detailing my engine bay and noticed two small screw holes on the front of the lower part of the passenger strut tower that I swear I have never noticed before. The holes appear to be already threaded for a screw of some sort. Was something mounted there before? Does anyone else have these holes in their stang?

Thanks grabbororange. I just wanted to make sure that it came from the factory like that and it was nothing the dealership decided to do.

Do you have HID headlights? Mine has an electrical box mounted there. 2008 GT.

And the top of your strut sure is rusty, as if you couldn't tell.

I do not have HID headlights but sure would like them. I definitely need to purchase a strut tower cover to hide that rusty bolt. I have wondered why those bolts on the strut tower rust up as nearly every stang that I have seen has that one rusty bolt in the center.

It looks like 07 and up have them. Although HID's weren't an option in 07, I guess Ford was getting ready for them to be offered in 08.
