Default Need help with GT500 dead pedal install

So far I got that black retaining "screw" out, and thats about it. I couldn't figure out how to take the plastic cover (covering the hood release) off with out snapping it. Any experts have advice on how to install the dead pedal?

That was my first mod. I removed everything I could find on that side, the door sill (will need new 3m trim tape), trunk release plastic, everything just pulls off. I was amazed how easy this car just pulls apart. Use patients pulling it apart, all the connecting point are just plastic grabs not actual clips.
The screw that holds the Dead pedal in place is a bit of a problem. It has paint on it so getting the correct size wrench on it was tough I used a (flat ratchet one). Also I have no idea what it is attached to so don't unscrew it all the way. I was afraid that I would hear something metal fall off the back with every twist of the wrench.
I also had to grind off a portion of the brand new dead pedal.
The whole thing was alot more difficult than I thought it would be, though the results were good.

Do a search on DEAD PEDAL INSTALL should help.

Before you take out the panel on the side ( hood release ) , you need to carefully pullout the doorsill covers out first.
