Default Possible to Powder Coat Plastic Valve Covers?

Has anyone explored having their valve covers power coated? I know they are made of plastic and most shops wont try it, but I have heard that there are techniques/equipment available to powder coat plastic parts. I would like to find a shop to send mine to for coating. I would rather go this route than paint them. Although, painting is my plan "B". I have seen several on here that have turned out very nice with paint.

I am lucky that I blew my engine...now I have a spare set of low mileage valve covers...sure they cost me $1500...but who's counting! .....sarcasm!

stlwagon had his done too, said it turned out pretty good. if you go to harborfreightusa.com ( its a cheap tool store) they sell all the stuff to powder coat and its not very expensive. they only sell the basic colors but i bet you can mix and get your own color. ive been thinking about picking that stuff up and trying it but havent so far. just a idea

i dont know the details either.someone told me once that rear dash panels and trunk liners were somehow electricaly charged and that fuzzy stuff would coat the parts like a magnet. some of the guys that have had it done might know how they did it. i might go look at those tools tomorow and see whats up with it.

Default I'm very curious

When you powder coat, you have to ground the piece your coating, so How do you Ground Plastic again???? you cant coat plastic Unless maybe you took it to someone that could plate the plastic like when plastic trim is chromed, otherwise according to the Eastwood CO. which is the powder coating system I use, you can't coat plastic! If someone knows a way I'd like to know.

ya, ive looked too. i cant believe no one is making them. i bought a set of new aluminum covers for my 289 for 24.00( in the mid 70`s) they would be over 300.00 now if they ever come out. on the other hand, the black stock ones match the black plenum
