Question Brake Install Question

I asked this question in someone else's post, but I didn't get an answer, so I'm making my own post in hopes someone can help.

On my 2006 GT, I replaced all four rotors with Power Slot Rotors and replaced the stock brake pads with Hawk HPS Performance Pads. I also installed a set of MGP Caliper Covers (had to install Motorsports 1/8 " front and 1/4 " back wheel spacers for clearance). FYI, I couldn't go the route of bigger brakes (Brembo, etc) because I have 18" deep dish bullets.

My question is; I test drove it last night and I can hear a little bit of a scrubing sound. Is that normal until the brake pads and rotors set in? I'm pretty confident that I put everything back together correctly and all bolts are tight. I would appreciate anyone's feedback.....

might wear off in 20 miles or so.. then again it could be the slots passing over the pads

It's common with the Hawk pads. Mine did the same thing. It'll quite down after a bit.......either that or you just get used to it. I don't notice it on my car anymore!
