You can also e-mail him at clevparts@aol.com if you have difficulty getting through via phone. KC's a great guy. He helped me out greatly in 2007 when I needed some parts. I wouldn't hesitate to do business with him in the future if I need to.

I got mine from the local ford dealer.. Talk to him and try to make a deal. He also paid for the shipping which saved a bunch. They can print out a parts list for the front bumper of GT500 and it shows everything you need. GA

only bad thing about replacing the front facia is that the car no longer looks like the shelby gt... I personally like the GT500 look as well but the truth is i dont have a GT500 so i dont want it to look like it. I dont mean to be in your face or anything but in my opinion i have the sgt bcuz i like how it looks and am not trying to fool anyone into thinking it is the gt500. If i wanted it to look like the gt500 then i woulda got a regular gt and do all the body work instead of ruining the look of the sgt. This is just my opinion..

Am I correct in assuming that the eBay vendors with conversion kits (dead links) and the dealer are getting you a hood and bumper cover that is unpainted?
If so $1625 is whole lot of money. What would good paint cost? $1000? $1500?
I got my hood and bumper cover already painted. The bumper cover was a take off from some sort of Ford test vehicle (that could mean it was parked in a -50deg room for two weeks but was never driven) and it was MINT! The hood was what was removed when GT500’s were partially converted to Shelby KR’s before they left the plant. The box my hood was in was a KR hood box. The hood was 100% complete. The only things that were not included was the washer squirters and the hinge bolts. Not only was it mint it didn’t even have any fingerprints on it. The hood was $400 and the bumper cover $425. Didn’t have to pay for paint, didn’t have to worry about it matching, didn’t have to wait for paint and did I mention $400 is stupid cheap for an unpainted hood let alone a painted one? eBay seller greenleafprime has the hoods and bumper covers. He is located right outside of DetroitMI and only charges $150 for shipping. I swear there were 50 hoods in KR boxes there when I picked mine up. I couldn’t possibly think of a cheaper way of getting the hood and bumper cover.
Here are the parts I got new from the dealer. The pricing is what I paid. You need all of these:
7R3Z-17626-AB SPLITTER 111.38
7R3Z-17K945-AA LOWER GRILL 133.82
7R3Z-8B455-B BRACKET 18.98
7R3Z-8B455-B BRACKET 24.84
7R3Z-17753-A BRACKET 20.22
7R3Z-17752-A BRACKET 20.30
w704277-s438 SPRING NUT 1.40 X4
W706805-S902 SCREW 1.63 X4
Here are some more part numbers from the dealer that I ended up getting used. You have to have these too:
7R3Z-13008-A HEADLIGHT 169.94
7R3Z-13008-B HEADLIGHT 176.34
7R3Z-8200-A UPPER GRILL 188.06
7R3Z-16612-C HOOD 970.38 (no paint)
7R3Z-17D957-aptm BUMPER COVER 354.34 (no paint)
I used a bunch of fasteners that I had on hand opposed to using the OEM quick clips, etc. Even if you had to hardware store the fasteners they will be a lot less than the OEM crap. Here is a fairly complete list of fasteners I used. Fastening everything together with the below opposed to the OEM stuff made for a much stiffer bumper assembly:
M6x25 allen socket head or button head cap screw X10
M6x20 button head cap screw X4
M6 locknuts x18
M6 washers x18
M6 washers but wide (aprox 20mm) x10
M6x20 allen button head cap screws x4
4mm rivets x4 (you can use 4mm button head cap screws with nuts with thin heads also)
You don’t need new inner fenders. Only a utility knife and 5 minutes with the stock GT ones.
The marker lights are the same too.
And since you are doing so much work on the front end you may as well get the front diffuser/belly pan that goes from the splitter all the way back to the K-member. It comes in two pieces. The belly pan part goes from the splitter to the core support and the diffuser goes from the core support to the K-member. I don’t have the part numbers on hand but they are easy to find on the 2010 GT parts phish. Total I think they were $160ish. The belly pan/diffuser does an incredible job of cleaning up the air underhood and under the front of the car. 05-09 Mustangs actually have lift at high speeds. Not good. Ford claims that the new GT nose, which is obviously a bit slipperier has a lot less drag but more importantly has something like 23% more downforce. Or more downforce and 23% less drag. Either way, a very good thing. Another upside is when everything is all bolted up the front of the car is a ROCK! Nothing flexes, nothing moves. You need to do a little trimming of the belly pan section where it intersects with the back of the splitter with a utility knife but it’s easy and only takes about ten minutes. The only other “custom” work is that you will want to cut a “jumper” piece of plastic out of the 05-09 GT’s OEM “belly pan” that goes from the bumper cover to the core support to span a gap between the splitter and the 2010 belly pan. In the middle the belly pan is about 4” short. All I did is cut out a jumper with a utility knife and riveted it to the 2010 belly pan. I used quick clips and the OEM screws to attach the belly pan to the back of the splitter. Easy as pie. Total time to do the “custom” fitment was about a half hour. And I kid you not the car has 40-50% less wind noise and until it was gone I didn’t realize that air was buffeting under the car and using the floorpan as a “speaker”. It doesn’t do it anymore and the cabin noise at 120mph is what it was at 60mph before I closed everything in up front. You would swear someone snuck in your garage and put Dynamat under your carpet without you knowing. I was amazed! And now my hood doesn’t twitch at even 160mph.
First pic is of the 2010 Belly pan and diffuser just out of the box. The diffuser allows the air running under the car to pull air out of the engine compartment right behind the radiator which is perfect.
Second pic is of the 2010 stuff with the 05-09 “belly pan” sitting on top. Obviously the 2010 stuff covers a lot more area.
Third pic is what the 05-09 pan seals up….which is nothing.
Fourth and fifth pics are of the moded 2010 belly pan with the “jumper” riveted on and attached to my GT bumper cover (sorry, no pics of the GT500 bumper cover and splitter)
Sorry they are blurry. Not a lot of light, long shutter speed and I was laying on my back.
Good luck, have fun kids
