Default 2005 Mustang GT Auto 4.10's?

I am new to AFM and i really like it. Heres my question. I really want to swap my gears to 4.10's, and this car is my daily driver. Its an automatic and all that is done is a K&N CAI. Would i be ok just to have the 4.10's installed and just go? Thanks, Josh

Definitely needs a tuner to calibrate the speedometer.

3.73's will give you better gas mileage. 4.10's will give you better performance, especially for an auto. I had an 06 GT auto, put in 3.73's and was disappointed. After a year I put in 4.10's and along with it's other mods, the 4.10's were what it needed.

It all depends on what you're looking for. Good luck

+1 on 373s ( or even 3.90s would be great! )

and +1 on tuner must have to change the shift points or the trans will be all out of whack

i have a auto and 410 gears and i love it mine is my dd and i gained 2 mpg in the city. which is what i drive dailiy i would have been mad if i had went with 3.73.the 410 pull hard and make it fell like a reall sports/fast car is suppose to. to me with out them it is just a kinda alright but now it will haul ass and pin you back in the seat.but it is not to much at all matter of fact if it wasnt my dd i now would have gone 4.30+. the 410 are perfect for me i was on the fence for about 2 months trying to decide almost went with 3.90 but i made the right call.it pulls hard all the way threw the whole power band.but at 80+mph you gas goes bye bye fast.

I have 4.10s on my auto GT and the performance increase is amazing. You could go lower gears and get better gas mileage on the highway, but I opted for more performance so I went with the higher ratio. Either way your going to be very happy with them.
