Default Adding a little something to Ol'blue!!

Well as a lot of you guys know I've been trying to get my 07 GT into the 8's. I've gotten pretty close with a couple 9.0's but just not there yet.

It seems like we need just a little more power. The problem is we're out of fuel. The triple hat FORE fuel system is rated for 1100hp and we're pushing 950 at the rear wheels (well over 1100 flywheel).

So what do you do?????

Well here's our solution!

adding-little-something-olblue-photo2.jpgadding-little-something-olblue-photo.jpg

That's right! A second kit with it's own fuel system, nitrous bottle, and fuel cell mounted in the old battery location!

We plan to put another 100 to 150 rwhp to the ground making for a total around 1100rwhp. All of this on a seperate circuit from the primary system and run off a digiset. She'll come on 6 seconds into the run.

Only one thing of concern. I'm gonna stick a 150rwhp cattle prod to this beast when she's wide open at 950rwhp and doing about 130mph. We're just not really sure what she'll do! If she decides to get loose it's gonna go bad.....FAST!

Looks like in the next couple of weeks it's gonna be go or blow (or put it in the wall)!

We should start plumbing the kit Monday and wiring it through out the week. I'll keep you guys updated on the progress and how exactly we do this. Planning something a little unique here, this is an old fox body trick we're modifying for the S197!

Oh yea, your going to go for another ride.

I know you've already thought it through, but how about another hat in the other side of the tank? with some larger fuel lines.

I got my fingers crossed.

The only problem there is that you start to mess with a proven system. We know what the car will do with this tune and this set up and she does it every time. we know she'll make it "straight down broadway"!

By doing it this way we add a separate system independent from the proven one. It's small compact and efficient and best of all we change nothing with the existing system. We don't flip the switch, it's not on!

We do all our fogger systems on our older foxbodies this way! Works everytime!! It might be something new for the S197 but it's an old trick!!

Thanks! I've had a couple good looks at the wall's of HRP while driving this car! It's not like I'm doing this unprepared or unaware of the possibilities. I'll be on my game before I try it and I'll have all my safety gear!

Like I said I knew you had thought it through. It does make sense.

So does this add additional nozzles or are you "Ting" in to the existing system? I don't want you to give out to many secrets.....

I think it's gonna work Reggie!

Instead of purging this kit I'm gonna thumb it into the motor while staging like we talked about! I'll get you some pics on how we set it up!

Well it will probably be next weekend before we can try it. The "Wire Dude" didn't show up today (Yeah, that's what we call him). Need him to wire everything up. He'll probably get to it Monday. That and we couldn't get a 14' AN6 line today.
