Default Magnaflow Dual exhaust for my V6?

I got a 2010 V6 and Im interested in this system. Do magnaflows generally sound good? Can I expect some gains in hp/tq? and one last question, is it worth spending the extra cash for the dual system over the single?? Im uneasy about THE CUTTING THE VALANCE SO ILL MAKE my due dillegence on finding a good shop to install it..

um sound is a very personal taste
i recommend looking at clips on youtube to see if you like the sound. granted that the quality may be bad, but it gives you an idea.

i looked at sound clips for like 3 weeks and decided i loved the FRPP stingers but at the last minute i changed my mind and now ordered the FRPP GTA mufflers.

Personally i love the way Dual looks. plus you'll confuse ppl about whether or not you have a GT. gives that extra intimidation factor. plus in my opinion i feel single exhaust is more of a ricer look.

i know a really good mechanic who showed me about what the body would look like after cut and i looks good. the only way you'll notice it was cut is if you walk up and stare at the body above the muffler.

alot of ppl on this forum also have cut bumpers which look good.
check out amustangrocks page. i believe he has a cut bumper with gt take offs.

well thats my $.02

Yesterday I checked out the Magnaflows at a good muffler shop that does custom work. Told them i wanted slightly louder-deep sound but not the "weed-wacker" sound at cruise. They recommended the 'Flows over the Flowmasters for the sound I want. There is a difference between the sound of the X-pipe versus H-pipe.
And go with duals, it's the look of a muscle car. And ask the shop how they will do the cut-out, air saw, file or dremel down the edge for a smooth look.
I've heard this adds about 10 hp.
Good Luck and enjoy the Stang !

10 rwhp is a good estimate for a V6 muffler replacement.

not many 2010 running round there with exhaust setups so Im looking 09 and stuff since I think the sound would be comparable! I will check out a few shops before to see how they will go about the procedure, Im sure theyve done it a thousand times! Im still working on putting some pics up for this car
