I noticed you live in CA, how do you plan on getting past CARB regulations with the Bama tune? They used to do roadside spot checks on cars a couple years ago around Orange here (CHP was involved, the whole works), don’t know if they’re still doing them with the state’s budget problems. |
They do it because sometimes the situation would cause the
tranny to be hunting through gears constantly. Like in slightly hilly terrain or with a fully loaded/overloaded car. Can cause premature
tranny failure in the long run.
Staying out of overdrive will keep the TQ unlocked (unless your tunned) so acceleration is easier to start with, not to mention your in a lower gear. It will hurt your milage quite a bit.
