Default Help picking a front fascia/bumper 2005 mustang gt

I do not like the stock mustang gt front fascia, and am curious to hear what others have done, I have looked at the roush and saleen front bumpers and am looking for something different.

The most interesting one to me so far is the cs6 but I do not want to spend the extra money for front grill insert and lights. Can you keep the stock grill and fog lights but still get this front fascia?

any other suggestions?

Thank you very much

Hi and welcome to the site. The CS6 is for the V6 models, so if you want it to fit you need to get a v6 grill and inner wheel wells. A member very recently had the kit installed and it looks great. I like the simple gt bumper with the CDC chin spoiler, or the GT/CS bumper. A gt 500 conversion is also popular, and the Xenon kit also looks nice. American Muscle has a great selection with individuals pictures that really will let you know what your getting.

Yeah I've been thinking about doing something as well. I like the Eleanor front end (CS6). A GT clone isn't bad either. Both are pricey. I don't think you can use your factory grill & fogs with the CS6 bumper. For now I decided to upgrade to a 3D Carbon Eleanor style front grill w/halo fogs & stick with the CDC spoiler.

Thanks for the welcome! I usually spend hours reading various posts on this website, and finally decided to join =D

I also like the California special bumper but the funny thing Is its hard for me to tell the difference, I just know I like it better.

So it would still fit the V8? just need to get a v6 grill to fit intead of the c6 grill? I believe that would be much cheaper! but You lose the cool V8 fog lights =(

I'm getting the Roush fascia, but without the chin spoiler. It offers a unique look that most other cars don't have.

Yeah it will still fit the GT. The v6 grill is an option, but if you like the fog lights, you can get the pony package grill (which I have for sale) or get a v6 grill that still uses the fog lights.

The v6 grill with cutouts seems like the pefect solution to my problem,

Only thing is I wonder if they sell that grill with the cut outs but without including the headlights?
$219.99 for that package but I'm sure price would drop signifigantly without headlights since the gt already has them.

I used to think the GT500 front end was great but now I like the Roush one. I don't care for the roush spoiler or louvers tho

I like the gt500 also, but the only problem is its a whole conversion and requires numerous peices and modifications for it all to fit properly, then you really want to ad the hood.... and BAM your way up there in $$

Im looking for a one piece type swap, except maybe for the cs6, its pretty sexy if you ask me

yeah the GT/CS is a good one too because it's used on the Cobra Jet (only if I had the money ) I would pick the Roush, the CS or the Bullitt front ends. I looked around on mr bodykit and other sites and I couln't find anything I liked, most of em looked ricer to me and I prefer more simplistic styles.. the only one that stood out to me was the Steeda.. I rather get a whole bumper piece than just a chin spoiler upgrade.
