i have a 2006 mustang v6 again i had a 5.0 put in and i think a t5 transmission but their gone now back to straight stock 4.0 v6 just wondering what some opinons would be for my next engine i was thinking eather 4.6 or back to 5.0 or if the opratunity came up maybe a cobra engine if i could find a doner car just wondering about some opinons thanks for your time
still have supercharger for 5.0 less then 25 miles on it had it profesionally installed and i took it out that weekend an the engine went. do you think i should get it put on new 5.0 or do you think new engine will go also. Pretty sure its a vorteck or something like that its sitting in garage.
trade the car in for a GT, forget the swap, they cost tons and are worth 1/2 of whatever you might spend

A couple weeks ago I saw a complete GT500 drivetrain including wiring & computer with 20K miles on Ebay with a buy it now of $8995.00. Pick up a takeoff exhaust, driveshaft & a GT rear axle & you will probably drop another 1200 bucks. You will also need the fuel pump (700 bucks). This engine has the potential for 800 + HP without removing the valve covers. You cant pick up a GT500 that cheap.

I tried to buy a new 2007 GT500 when dealers wanted $24,000.00 over sticker for an orange one. A GT500 cost $41,000.00. Thats 65K stock. Between the cost of the GT I started with, the parts I bought, the paint & body parts & the complete GT500 drivetrain that I have for this car, the total is roughly 60K. I like Crush better than that stock Shelby. I could do it at todays prices for a lot less though....
