It depends on how deep your pockets are. You could probably get it up & running with a complete GT500 drivetrain for 12K if you shop smart.

trade the car in for a GT, forget the swap, they cost tons and are worth 1/2 of whatever you might spend

A couple weeks ago I saw a complete GT500 drivetrain including wiring & computer with 20K miles on Ebay with a buy it now of $8995.00. Pick up a takeoff exhaust, driveshaft & a GT rear axle & you will probably drop another 1200 bucks. You will also need the fuel pump (700 bucks). This engine has the potential for 800 + HP without removing the valve covers. You cant pick up a GT500 that cheap.

I tried to buy a new 2007 GT500 when dealers wanted $24,000.00 over sticker for an orange one. A GT500 cost $41,000.00. Thats 65K stock. Between the cost of the GT I started with, the parts I bought, the paint & body parts & the complete GT500 drivetrain that I have for this car, the total is roughly 60K. I like Crush better than that stock Shelby. I could do it at todays prices for a lot less though....

You had a 5.0 in the car and then, for some reason, swapped BACK to the v6?

Uh, why on Earth would you do that and then wonder if putting a 5.0 in would be a good choice?

Something doesn't make sense here.

Also, spelling is owning you. FireFox is a free download and spell check comes with it FREE!

Everyone's advice will probably be the same. Sell the V6 and buy a GT. Swapping engines is only a good way to spend money, not get a faster car.

Sell the V6 for $10-12K and buy an '06-07 GT for $17-19K and you are done. It'll be a very merry Christmas
