Step 1, purchase a Fuel Fitch Catalyst through their website which walks you through the process of selecting their product that is compatible with your engine. Mine came in 4 days and was a PERFECT fit. It took me about 1.5 hours to install because i took my time and had to do a few extra things due to my previous mods. I also have a good detailed description on the "business card" technique.
Okay so essentially this is what i did.
First i uninstalled my Steeda Strut Tower Brace, UPR oil separator, and removed the air filter. I also disconnected the battery for safety reasons.
Next i took out the heat shield. Since i mounted the UPR separator near the center, i had to drill a new hole of it a little closer to the fender, then i drilled a hole for the Fitch Catalyst to be mounted.
I attached the 90 degree elbows on the catalyst and hoses. There is an arrow on the filter to show you the way that fuel flows so you get it right. I reinstalled the heat shield and mounted the catalyst.
Now comes the "business card" technique. First you removed the "zip fastener on the fuel system that keeps it locked in place. Next look at the one pic that i took where it seems like there are "teeth" on the inside of the silver ring on the hose. I folded the credit card around the hose and pushed it inside of the lock and pushed the "teeth" in with the business card. Then it was very simple to pull apart. *pic #8*
Next i took the appropriate hoses (which you can tell by the type of attachments on the hoses since there is a male and female side) and locked them into place. Placed fasteners on them, then i zip-tied them down so they don't move around on me.
Then i re-installed all of the mods i took off, then reconnected the battery. Cleared everything out of the engine bay and then it was time for a test. I turned to ignition to "on" about 5 times to allow the fuel system to prime itself by filling up the catalyst with fuel and getting all the air out of the lines. You can hear the air in the lines slowly disappear the more you turn the car on and off. Finally i started the engine and it didn't even idle rough, it ran perfectly.
After having it on for a day i did about 20 miles of driving and i noticed a nice bump in horsepower and the exhaust tone sounds a little deeper too, or its just me lol
I will be reporting back in the coming weeks to see how my MPG improves since i am taking several long trips, mainly my trip to DE on Nov 7th so lets see how she does. My goal is to be able to get 500 miles out of a tank of gas. So far with the mods i currently have i should be able to get 450 miles, so the next stage is some UDP's, economy delete plates and a couple weight reductions like aluminum driveshaft, LCA's ect

If you haven't purchased it yet, don't they're a big waste of money. I had a friend who bought one, and the gains he saw it would take a long time before they pay for themselves. Save your money, Mike. SCT Tuner.
I am concerned about that as well and i am looking into other potential mounting places or to secure the heat shield a little more.
As for recouping my costs i have crunched the numbers and it would take about 2-3 years for me to recoup my money. but i also have the nice peace of mind knowing its keeping my gas fresh, and also giving me more horsepower

Looks good James... My only concern is all that weight on the heat shield.
I made a doubler plate, about 3"X4", and put it on the forward side. You can make it large enough to mount both the items on it.
And Mike, I've got an unscientific +7% mileage increase that is there all the time. Yeah, it will take a long while to pay for itself, but that wasn't the main reason I put one on. Gas mileage now.

do you have a pick Frank cause i was going through your gallery before but couldn't find an engine bay shot. I know i want to move it around but i want to be certain of where i mount it. Cause preferably i'd like to keep it away from the core of the engine to keep the temp of the fuel entering the engine lower

On page two of my pics, there are four of the engine compartment. In one the catalyst is fairly visible and in another the mount bolt is visible. I have it fairly low on the aft side of the CAI airbox.

well put. If you want to learn more you can google it and there is a lot of info. or search this forum as there are a few topics about it also. It also allows you to use octane slightly lower than your tune almost like a permanent octane booster but i'd never rely on it personally.
So far i have no MPG readings to report since i did 30 miles of stop and go traffic today so my MPG is at a very low level lol. Nov 1st i am going to Tom's river so its about a 100-120 miles round trip so it should be a good judge. Now if i can just keep my foot out of it.....

check out the site for details www.njstangers.com i'd love to see your whipple and you can see my $200 bolt on
My local club the NJ Stangers is organizing a cruise from ext 100 on the GSP at 1:30 and driving down to TGI Fridays in Tom's River then probably hitting up Seaside after to chill at the beach and walk around for a while. We have events every weekend, this is just a really big annual thing we always do. Had over 70 cars at the place last year, how the parking lot held us all i still have no clue about lol
I am hoping to see 26+ MPG from the trip which i believe to be reasonable mentioning i was able to get 24.5 stock and i got 25.5 with just the intake and tune. I am really hoping for 27 but no way am i going to be that easy on the gas
