I am feeling pretty luck now getting away with the broken motor!! These were on another forum, something to do with the fuel solenoids sticking. It was a zex kit. Holy crap

I have seen that before but it kinda hits home when you see it on the same vehicle and the same kit. I should show to my wife just to show here that things were really not that bad and that i was 100% in the right! Yeah...that will happen

That's one heck of a nitrous backfire!! That is why I don't mess with it anymore. Too risky. I hope this person has good insurance. Most insurance companies will not cover a mishap like this.

That really does stink, do you know if it was an installation mistake or a kit malfunction. It would really be very unfortunate for the owner if that was not covered by insurance.

From his post, he said the fuel solenoid keft pumping fuel.How or why (or how he even knows) i do not know.

I had a guy show me a video of his 07 GT/CS on fire from his nitrous kit (Zex also) and it roasted for a good 5 minutes before the FD showed up at the TRACK. Somehow his Travelers insurance company, full well knowing of the nitrous kit honored the insurance claim and allowed him to even recoupe the cost of the Zex kit!! He used the cash from the car's value and all mods to buy his current GT500, he was a lucky guy.
But pics like these make me want to build a N/A motor even more lol

Holy cow! I have seen some nitrous backfires, but nothing ever caught fire to this extent!! That is sketchy, i no longer want nitrous when i am out of my warranty.. N/A or boost are the only two good options.. Man that would kill me, i would for sure!! Especially after the beating i receive from my parents lol jk

Man that is bad, do you know what size shot he was spraying. I am calling Zex to find out about these burning cars. Not sure how a fuel solenoid not closing has anything to do with it. I bet money the problem is how the kit was wired.
