SO many exhaust sound possibilities! Ok, I'm loving the sound of my car now after I replaced the stock H-pipe with the JBA one, as well as the JBA long tube headers. With everything I have on it now, it sounds a lot like the older cars, a metallic gurgly growl that's a lot louder than it was before. However, it got me thinking.
You can have an X or an H-pipe, shorty headers vs long tube, straight pipes or mufflers, and SO many variations of mufflers! And not only are there these combos, but there are the different brands for each of these components! Magnaflow, Borla, Pypes, Bassani, Flowmaster etc etc.. And you can even mix and match some stuff up too.
It's obvious that every Mustang can sound completely different from one another.
I may replace the Flows I have on the arse end with different mufflers. Possibly Borlas, (and as I have looked at them, the look A LOT like the Ford racing stingers-which I believe are the same as the Steeda ones). But now, I can't just listen to the examples of one muffler. Because now on my setup, it will sound completely different. The spirit of it may be the same, but the end result is impossible to predict.
Any other thoughts/feelings on this?
