Question I Need Some Help With Side Pipes

Alright guys I've been looking at side pipes for some time and now I have some questions. I'm interested in the Terlingua setup from Shelby. I emailed Shelby with some questions but have yet to get a reply. It is surprisingly difficult to dig up information on side pipes- maybe they're just that unique? Anyway some concerns I have is:

1) Clearance- uneven terrain, parking lot speed bumps, etc.

2) I have heard that the acids in the exhaust will corrode the wheels (BTW, mine are still stock)

3) Quality- If I understand correctly, Terlingua exhaust consists of a SINGLE Borla muffler w/ 2 inlets and 2 outlets. 2 separate pipes enter the muffler, then 2 pipes exit the muffler and curve out the side. I'm just wondering what the sound quality would be like. I'm betting it will be considerable IN the car, but I want EVERYONE to enjoy it

Please, anyone who has experience with side exhaust please help me out. I currently have a single Flow AT. I'm a big fan of Flowmaster, so I will also need some persuasion to switch to Borla

Have you checked out Cervinis web site? I added their side exhaust kit about 3 years ago and love it. There are two magna flow muffles designed just for this kit. The sound is awesome and you can feel the rumble since the muffles are practically under the seats. As for clearance, good luck. I have had mine drag on big speed bumps but you just have to be careful. I haven't had any problems with normal driving.

I bought and installed the Cervini kit. I had stock tires and I was dragging on entirely too much stuff.
I ended up keeping the X pipe and Cervini mufflers(loud as hell). I made my own tips and modified the original skirt and put it back on. I made sure that I tucked the exhaust as best I could under the car. The tips I made are just 2.5" OD tips. I have to be doing something pretty dumb in order to hit the exhaust now....like going over railroad tracks at 75+ or not slow down like normal people while entering a parking lot.
I still am not satisfied with my tips at the moment...you aren't supposed to see the connecting peice. They have since been moved under the car 1.5" but that's still not good enough.
Love the sound now though
I don't know why it's showing 2 of the same vids :-(

I also forgot to mention that I also switched to larger diameter tires. It lifted my butt up a little and i really love the rake look.
