got a call for a trade on my 66. guy brought over the trade it was a 95 gt. my 66 was gutted and needed a new motor but this guy really wanted it so i wondered what was the catch. so he brought his car over. almost mint shape with brand new two tone red and black leather seats. nice so far then he got out the recipts and opened the hood. 10000 dollars under the hood. built dss racing 347 stroker, port and polished elelbrock alum. heads, all msd ignition setup, victor high rise intake with a holly 850 on top of it, long tube header running out duel 3" exhaust with a x pipe and flows, not to mention 3.5" cowl fiberglass hood on it, and for insurance a 150 shot in the truck, also comes with brand new mt slicks on weld drag lights. got a timeslip of 11.59 in the 1/4. i tryed not to act to excited and needless to say i made the trade. that 95 has alot of balls and found the nearest new camaro and smoked him. car runs great. must of been my lucky day.
He's posting on the Shelby forums as to how he got the one off 66 notch Shelby meant to scrap but it slipped out with a disgruntled engineer in the middle of the night. . He said the owner didn't even realize it and he tried not to act like their was a hitch. JK. Sounds like you traded well. I've seen stuff like this before. My neighbor got a nice 92 roller hatch for a used NOS kit.
