Default Here's a front light idea ('07 GT)

Hi guys,

This was thrown out to me, and I wonder if it's possible and makes any sense. I don't think it would look bad, but I do wonder about the feasibility of it.

Is it possible to add lights to the bottom section of the front end? (the "chin"). If so, how would halo lights look there? I added a picture to specify where exactly. Does this make sense or is it just physically not do-able? I'm trying to do little things here and there, don't want to make any dramatic visual changes to it

Those plastic panels do pop out so anything's possible. Mounting it might be a different story.

If you're good with fabrication you can do anything. Are you wanting 4 fog lights?

Instead of lights and some fabrication you might consider some lower grille inserts from SHR ( 59.00 ) it fills up the hole and gves it a real nice look, JMO

i also have the SHR grill inserts but what i really liked was i saw a Black GT the other day with rectangular fog lights in the center taking up the space.

I have seen several mustang with the lower grill removed and i don't like the holes and gaps.

The lower grills or fog lights are a good idea. and you can always drill a hole from the brake duct cooling kit too

Hey again guys,

see, I like the way the halo lights look, but I also like the stock lights as they are, and after this suggestion was thrown my way kind of as a joke, I thought it could actually be done. It would be a bit overkill on the fog lights, but I might see if I could have them setup to a different switch so both sets wouldn't have to be on at the same time.

I was thinking instead of just removing the lower grill panels, to instead just cut the same shape holes as the lights that would be put in and make it as a frame for them. Hmm...

Anyways, thanks for the input and suggestions gang. I won't be doing this anytime soon, but I'll keep it in mind for the future.

I installed some in my lower bumper recently. This pics is before the fixtures were in. I'd don't have pics of the finished job yet.

That exact mod is on my "list". I think they look so much better down low. Although, unlike you, I don't really care for the stock lights, so I'd get rid of those. Besides, four lights would look a little too "rally-car" for my taste, but to each his own.
