seems odd to me. We will see for sure when someone goes to the dyno with one. Be cool if they put that down. imagine what a good port job would do to those 3v heads

It was Steeda that dynoed the car. There are pics of it (a yellow 05) and many othe mustangs. I think Steeda has a dynojet but I'm not sure what the numbers corrected to. The car is going to become their new Q400. I'm following it since I'm thinking about buying a Steeda Q400 based on the 05 Mustang.

yes there was a yellow 05 there, an ford has a media embargo on the 05 stang. ford said they will lift the embargo oct1. untill then, steeda, us or whoever cant post new info on the s197

they would fall from fords grace, an nobody in there right mind would do that. you dont bite the hand that feeds you.

that is why roush an saleen are waiting till sema to unvail there s197's.

an 275 at the rear wheel would mean 335 at the flywheel????
i am not good at doing this, so help a bro out an fig out the hp of the 3v

275 to the ground works out to right around 330 flywheel assuming 15% drivetrain losses.

Well, I told the wife about this thread on the way home from work. She hinted that we should look into getting one since we're having some problems with the '03 since the wreck. The collision repair shop can't get the car right and well, if they can't get it right and stand by their work, their dealership is gonna give me a hell of a deal on an '05. They just don't know it yet. So I think this evening I'm gonna go start working a salesman over a biton a new GT.

The 05 should only have about 255 at the wheels, with 300 at the crank. I wonder if it was a generous dyno? I seems to be off a lot, I smell a rat.

Well the 03/04 Cobra should have only 330 at the wheels but most dyno around 360 even though they're rated at 390hp from the factory. You're right though, it could be the car or even the dyno. Dyno's are just tuning tools as it is, letting us know what a car might be capable of.

we all know that it will have over 300 hp. after the recalls of the 99 cobra's ford has under rated the hp
on all of there motors.

Yep, I can't name the source, but a reliable one indicated that the 300 is a rather conservative number.

lol, this is going to be very interesting. Someone go take a "test drive" and let the guy go to a dyno shop with you. Just clorophorm(sp?) him and he'll never know........
