Silver would look nice or maybe black, but I keep imaging the parchment top and think gold or some color that will go well with the top.

I must confess I hated the thought of that lime color, but after seeing one in person I like the metalic look it provides. This is probably the sleeper color that everyone will wanting a few years.

Looks good hounce:thumbsup . How wide on the main stripe? 8"? I think I'm going to match the color from the bullitts also on my satin silver. Two solid stripes though, no pins on the outside. trying to get ideas on widths from other pics.

Actually, they very. The inside stripes are taken off of the Mustang Shelby Le Mans. I got them out of a catalog. http://www.treasurecoastmustangs.com/shelby_stripe.htm

I only used a 1" gap between inside stripes.

Default My Stripes!!

Ok. My stripes are 12 inches wide with a two inch gap between them. The side stripes are standard. I had a them painted a little wider than standard, however, I think it gives the ride a bolder look without taking the attention off the blue.

Default Stripes in Toronto

This is my first post here so please forgive any mistakes.

I have just ordered an '05 GT in Sonic (Dark) Blue. I want to stripe it in White "LeMans" style. I read all the posts in this thread but still don't know if paint is preferable to vinyl. I would really appreciate it if anyone could refer me to a good paint shop in the Toronto area that has experience with stripes or custom pain jobs.

Thanks,
John

I like those stripes!!!

I have 05 Gt Prem Conv windveil blue with grey interior ordered and a build date of 3/21. Those might look good on mine too, but I'm not sure with it being a convertible.

Billyb:

Go with the stripes, paint them, do not go with vinyl. A convertible would benefit with stripes just the same. It makes it tough!! Good luck finding a paint shop!

I would like to paint/ decal stripe into my '05 but I use mine as every day car and it gets plenty of attention now as is (dark tinted windows really looks great with redfire colour). If you visit the stripe link and use redfire as base colour and add top and side black stripes, it is most beast. I may one day do this in addition to cold air and custom exhaust. For now, I enjoy my stock setup and think anybody who stripes their Mustang can't go wrong.

Black striping would look really on that red with the dark windows.

I think I'm with you. I'll stripe mine someday but I'm going to leave mine as is for a while.

Try the "contact us" on stripe painter. Maybe more feed back will yield more options. It would be great to see rear 3/4 as well as with the different Ford wheels available.
