My brother works for the Ford dealer here and I ordered 12/22 and now have an ETA of 2/28. But I can't complain I'm getting the ford employee price. We seem to be paying the same price at least. Congrats and good luck.

Everyone keep your hopes up!! These are great cars, and plenty worth the trouble to get such a great car. But it looks as if they have gotten most of their problems worked out, with the deliveries. P.S. If your real nice to your dealer they'll usually be real nice to you, (True with MOST dealers). But im a realtor, and am fairly used to negotiating with people (Guaranteed not the best though). Will keep everyone posted.

This is my first post. I've been reading this forum for awhile and now thought
I should contribute as well. I ordered my Stang 1/7 and as of 2/12 have a
build date of Feb 28th. Does anyone in CA have an idea of how long it takes
for the car to be shipped from the factory?

Mine was built the week of Jan 31, went onto a truck on Feb 4th and onto the Rail Car on Feb 5th. Dealer says it takes 2-3 weeks... I'll post as soon as it gets here.

be avail on the 800 number after my unit is built?

Thx

Here's everything I know, which isn't much. But yes it is from that 800 number: The car was scheduled to be built the week of 1/31 and the number confirmed that until Feb 7 when it changed to "as of February 4 your vehicle has been shipped via Convoy Carrier". Then four days later, on the 11th, it changed to "as of February 5 your vehicle has been shipped via rail car".

Our salesman had been vacationing since before xmas. He just got back last Wednesday. I guess it was a big shock when he didn't have a big check waiting for him. He had promised us a Jan 10 delivery date. He got on our order.

Today, he called my hubby's cell phone. The car has been built and is in transport. We should have it by the end of the week. What I find interesting is that I called the 800 number and we are still c&u. The only reasoning that we can come up with is that an exact duplicate of our car was coming in and the original customer had cancelled and they giving us that car.

We are cautiously optomistic. Any thoughts??

Info from my dealer has matched that of the 800#. If your order is C&U, that means you would be at least a month away from a car. You are right to be cautious :thumbup . Maybe the dealer gave you the wrong order #, or maybe he is looking at the wrong order # for the one coming in. Have you confronted him with the conflict of info ???

Is everyone getting that information from the automated system? When I try the automated system I can not get it to take my dealer number. The dealer gave me a dealer number with a Q in it and the system keeps mistaking it for a 2. Are dealer numbers all digits and they gave me the wrong dealer number or is my speech just that bad?
