My local dealer has several V6s and 2 GTs that have been that for at least 3 weeks. Still waiting to get something other than clean and unscheduled on my vert.
Hey aremann, I with you. The only thing my dealer is trying to do now is, change an earlier order with the deluxe pkg, with a build date already, and change it to the iup. That was Friday, and still waiting to hear if the factory has excepted it or not. Really sucks, but will be well worth the wait.
Great it's about friggin time!!! lots of luck cdc......where is mine this blows big time ordered 11/23 still notta called my dealer today again no new news sorry.He said there was some ford rep in there last week that promised them some allocations this week i guess will see what tomorrow brings.it's thursday pickup order day.
Hey i looked at a 2003 mach lastnight! red/dark charcoal drives nice 4800 miles asking 19k got him down to $18200 really low miles or should i wait for the 05
for the money this car was a good deal!!! no because at this point i think it will hold it's value
the 05 in 1 yr will be worth 22' the mach will probably still be worth 16500 to 1800 then i can buy a used 05 with alittle miles at a good price after all the hipe in about 8 months to a year ya know? what do ya think?
assuming a dealer has an allocation for a factory order.whats the approx wait time?im thinking 2 months or so.what do you think.i think alot of the hold up was production, that now is fixed.the other is dealer allocation.this could mean that a order accepted by ford should be built quickly.no? thanks......tripower
Yikes! I feel guilty... Gina arrived at the dealership today. There are some pics of her over at my website, taken in the Ford lot earlier tonight. I pick her up Friday.

Well, my 3 month anniversary came and went. C&U November 16 - February 16. Rrr.
I'm right there with you K_Unit. Ordered on 11-29-04. GT w/IUP. As of 2-15-05, Clean, unscheduled and not serialized. so, I went to my dealer and he told me two things;
1. Factory just picked up order 9032, I'm 9037.
2. They also told me factory is at 50% production but they are going to increase production and orders shoud get picked up quicker. Which goes along with what I've been reading in other threads.
I refuse to pay MSRP, let alone over MSRP so I will wait and wait and wait.
In my opinion, Ford has really hurt themselves with the Mustang. What could have turned out to be an ever greater success for them has instead tested their customers loyalty. Dealers that are charging $3,000-$5,000 over invoice are getting all the Mustang GT's they want. While dealers like mine that don't gouge are getting flooded with orders, backing up the system, eating up their GT allocation. Shame on the Dealers for doing this and SHAME on Ford for allowing it to happen.
Somebody give me an address of a Ford Exeuctive and I will put pen to paper explaining my/our frustration. No one should have to wait this long for a "PRODUCTION" car.

You speak the gospel truth, brother! As a first time Ford buyer, I'm amazed at the disparity between the hype and the capacity. Just amazed. The extended lead time is a bitter disappointment. I'm just about ready to cancel my order and go to an import. At least I'd be able to get a car that I want in less than 3 months!
