I ORDERED 11/23 4 MONTHS AGO and i stopped bt the dealer saturday he said i might have to get an 06???????????????????????????????????????????????? ?????????????
Unfortunately I'm feeling your pain (Ordered 12/29/04). Got the same info from my dealer Saturday. They just had orders #9 & #10 pulled (I'm #15) by the factory. They were on order #8 four weeks ago. That's only 2 per month.... NOT GOOD !!! Called FCRC and they were able to provide absolutely NO information about the order pulling process at the factory.
I feel your pain they really screwed up this time. They under figured on demand and let dealers keep putting in orders.. The dealers are allotted so many cars after that you get in that black hole called Clean and Unscheduled.. They should pull old orders first since were waiting so long!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have had to become a pain for over a month now. Ordered my GT (w/ all upgrades except the Shaker 1000 and the side airbags--X plan, too) on 11/9/04. I was originally told 6-8 weeks, which would have put it in around New Years. At week 8, I called the dealer looking for a status. They then told me that production had been pushed out another 4 weeks. At the end of week 12, I called again. They again told me another 4 weeks, and that my priority was around a 14. That's when I started raising some hell. I understand that there may be productions issues, but I really resented the lack of communication coming from my dealer!
After having met with the Sales Manager and the District Sales Manager, they pushed me up to a priority 10, and was told my build date would be the first week in March. That week, I got my VIN, but was told the build date had been pushed out again to the following week. The next week: same story. I basically gave up--if I got it, I got it. If I didn't, I was over the hassle.
Finally got some good news today: my car's on the line! (VOPC confirms).
I just hope after all this waiting, the car doesn't get caught up in AZ doing random emmissions testing for CA.
Anyone have any experience on how long it takes from the time it hits the line to a CA delivery?

X planned Redfire GT premium 5-speed manual, IUP, ICAP, Side airbags, Active anti-theft, wheel locks..ordered 2/6, pulled for production 2/24, VIN # on 3/18, build date of 3/24...delivered from plant to my dealer on 3/25.....one day after it was built.
Hi all, my dealer called me to day and provided me with a 17 number VIN on my 2005 Premium Convert. I do not have the dealer no., that everyone is referencing that you need to check on the status. My question is by having a VIN number, does that mean the car is actually being or has started being built?

Doh, had to edit. Was reading order number instead of dealer number. You will need the dealer number or call the customer service desk mentioned in this thread.
As of 3.17 my mustang was put on transport for delivery to the dealer. Not sure how long it will take to get to NC. Mapquest says less than 800 miles or 12 hours but I am sure they will be making stops along the way.
My dealer called me today with a hard build date. Things are speeding up up there as I have moved from build week 4/4 to 3/28 to locked for production 3/28, first day of that week! :thumbsup So they've made up at least one week, probably and hopefully more, with MANY more to come!

Well, this should be my week! For some time, evil robot lady has been saying, "As of 2/17 your unit is scheduled to be built the week of 3/21." Although, late last week the message changed to "As of 3/23 your unit is scheduled to be built the week of 3/21." That's not a typo. Somehow evil robot lady is sending messages from the future. Should I be scared?
