friday march 4th dealer called me told me he had my vin # etc....and I was 4 weeks out ....from checking this forum and thread out...can I assume I am 4-5 weeks from driving my stang?

If you're referring to the vehicle on the far left of my avatar, I forget the name of the company -- but a quick Google search will tell you. The two middle cars are plastic and the small one is a Hotwheel. FYI, the second-to-the-right car is also a Transformer!
2005 Mustang GT w/IUP 5speed Ford accepted order 12-03-04 clean & unscheduled as of 3/22/05. Dealership is no help, Ford CRC is a waste of damn time. Dealer is located in North Carolina. Can anyone help?? Greensboro, NC

Even better I was just called this afternoon and was told my build date is 04/04.
My dealer is Lasalle Ford in Montreal Canada. I have never bought a car from them before It was ordered priority 10
According to what my salesman told me Canada has a separate allotment from that of the U.S. Somewhere between 28,000-32,000 cars.
Even though it isn't a very big dealership it sells quite a few mustangs and has excellent service.
They had about 7-8 on the lot last week. probably 4-5 were loaded GT's, a couple were automatic.
At the time the bullitt came out I saw 2 of them there.
They also sold 5-6 Mach 1's.
This shows that they probably have a high allotment of mustangs.

Hey thump_rrr- Is that dealer near the grand prix indoor kart place? I think the road is Tashereau. I was at the Les 4 Glaces for a hockey tourney on 2/19/05. I looked every day when we drove by for Mustangs. There was only one V6 back then. Good luck on the build date. Mine is on a convoy carrier somewhere

My Sonic Blue sounds exactly like yours...I ordered it Feb 18 and was bucked yesterday. Dealer says ETA date is April 5...I'm sooooo stoked!!!!

Well I received the dreaded phone call this morning from my dealer. I was informed that my order was being cancelled by Ford. Apparently the dealer was only alotted 11 GT's instead of the 40 they ordered. So now I'm first in line for the 06. Does any one else think it's nuts that 3 months into the year, and they are already cancelling orders? I actually ordered mine Feb 3rd. Anybody else getting this call. I didn't even order anything all that special, GT Deluxe, Satin Silver, dk charcoal, Shaker 500, and active anti-theft.
Ordered my convertible on March 1st - dealer said today that " It has not been “pulled” from our order bank to be scheduled yet". Any idea of what that means? Why can't they just give you a straight answer?????

Well....it means exactly what your dealer told you. It hasn't been pulled by the factory for production. No scheduled build week/date, etc. Do you know what priority your dealer assessed to your order (if not, ask them)? Do you know if the dealer has allotment for Mustang 'verts this month or next (if not, ask them)?

X planned Redfire GT premium 5-speed manual, IUP, ICAP, Side airbags, Active anti-theft, wheel locks..ordered 2/6, pulled for production 2/24, VIN # on 3/18, build date of 3/24...delivered from plant to my dealer on 3/25.....one day after it was built.
Ordered a White GT on 1/15/05. Last week still C&U. Each week that goes by my hope for this car drops a bit. I didn't get caught up in the IUP mess cause I ordered the premium level with leather. Thought it would avoid the hold up. Nothing on my order should have held up my scheduling. The one thing I have learned from this thread I will use forever is not to buy a car from a small dealer. Friendship not withstanding. This poor guy bought three Thunderbirds to get extra GT's before they cancelled the production of the model. As it works out it may be a good deak for him since no one has them anymore. I hope it means they will get my car. I do know this dealership has returned deposits already. Not mine so I have some hope. I have so much aftermarket stuff to put on this gem that if I don't get it I will spend a week just listing it on Ebay. Congrats to those who have been scheduled. I actually konw someone who ordered their GT on Feb 8 and has their car already. Just makes my day. Hopefully the call this week will show a change in status.
Really depends on the size of the dealer. MY dealer is huge and im like number 15 in line. However my dealer has a larger allotment of mustangs. But a small dealer probably won't have as big of a line with a smaller allotment. In my opinion the wait would be the same. Your friend prolly got lucky and found a dealer with a short line of people who ordered mustang gt's(unless he ordered it from the same place you did, then i have no clue).
