No he ordered it form a larger dealer. IMHO it will be a sweeter meeting once the car arrives having jonesed for it so long. Good luck with your scheduling. Sooner or later we both will have them, either 05's or 06's.

I had been wonering about that, didn't wanna say sanything... (as I don't know how you 'real' Americans think, and Canucks... )The land of the free and equal... When the frigging order goes in it should be put in que, if they are missing a part it should be priorotized and finnished when the part comes in!! No matter where you live, who you buy from, etc...

I see lots of complaints about 05 orders beating out 04 orders and that is something you should take up with your dealer and not Ford.

Just suppose a dealer has 8 Mustang allotments each month but left out that tiny little detail that there are 23 customer orders (or his own planned lot orders) that were ahead of you. That's most likely why 3 months later you still aren't serialized.

Little lady on the other end of the 800# just said clear and uncut. Now I'm in the waiting game, at least I know my order does exist. Is there a way to find out what your dealer allotment is?, they haven't called me back or emailed me with this information.

What day do the scheduling folks at the mustang plant do their scheduling. What day can you call when the data is fresh from the prior week? I have had no luck with an order placed 1/15/05. Still C&U. Its time I called again its been three weeks since my last confession. Anyone know the magic time and day? Thanks for the help.

Thursday is supposed to be the magic day. I got my VOC on 2/10/05. My dealer said that tomorrow I should get a vin#. We'll wait and see.......

Mine was supposed to be built.....TODAY....according to my dealer. Hopefully, it's done by now and is sitting somewhere waiting on a ride to get to me.

Ordered my V6 Satin Silver Mustang with IUP, Dark Charcoal leather, black stripes and tint as well as sports appearance package on 1/27. Left on rail on March 6th. Arrived in Houston March 14th. Arrived at my dealer 3/23. Arrived to my garage tonight! In case anyone was interested, this is how long mine took to be built and to actually arrive. I know its a V6, not a GT, but this will give someone an idea of how long it took to build, ship, etc. My dealer also told me that they are not able to guarantee anymore 05 orders at this point. If you were to order today, it would definitely be an 06 and the wait time for GTs are double that of the V6s. So double the two months atleast. Oh yeah, if your dealer tells you its going to be here on a certain day (mine said 3/9), add two weeks to be more realistic. Good Luck everyone and lets hope these 05 V6s and GTs are collector items!

Now I can sit back and enjoy the ride. The IUP rocks and yes, the MyColor feature is awesome too. It was dark when I left the dealer so I dialed in a nice evil green color for the ride home.

It's getting close for me! My car is traveling via railcar right now. Does anybody know a way of getting the railcar#? I know how to track railcar locations and would be willing to help anyone out if they need to track theirs too. Thanks!

Still C & U as of 3/22 on an order of 1/15 for a GT 5 Spd Premium. Also found out no GT's will be built over the next two weeks for the Boston Zone. Mazda 6 line to be converted to a Mustang GT line A/O so there is hope. I guess the only virtue in getting a GT now is patience. Hard to see cars coming in to other folks on these threads and not have a clue as to build date or if it will be delivered before summer. I see one every now and then and it just makes me want to go buy a coupe. The high praise from all new owners keeps me from actually doing that. Hold the line!! May is not a bad time of year to get a new car in New England.

Haha. HOLD THE LINE! Exactly my thoughts. I ordered mine 2/19 and still C/U. I'm going nuts thinking about when I might get mine too. I have started looking for idenical builds like mine on lots and am coming up with nothing. I don't wanna have to settle for something this expensive, so I wanna try and hold out for what I ordered(Black on Black GT with IUP and side airbags). Hopefully I will get serialized soon, then my anxiety will drop. Dealership hasn't given me any updates which doesn't help. I'm just hoping since they didn't cancel my order that maybe mine will be built before summer since they start making the 06's around then. I would think my dealership would have called by now telling me I have to get an '06. We'll see.....

It's all about dealer allocation. I ordered my premium vert on 2.5.05 and just got a call from the dealer this morning. The car is in and will be picking it up this afternoon.

My dealer just faxed me the invoice for my car. It should be in next week. I ordered my 2/18 which puts it at just under 6 weeks. Sonic Blue V6 premium 5spd stick, ABS/TC, Active Anti-Theft, Interior Sport Appearance package, light graphite cloth interior. I got mine on x-plan.

I think the allocation situation completely screwed me. My dealer is avoiding calls and last told me there were "too many in line" ahead of me. Didn't have any idea when it would be built.

With that said, anyone know if the Thursday Updates from Ford come early or late in the day? Are they in now? If status changed, would the dealer be able to find that out? My dealer won't give me their Dealer number...so i can't call the 800-number myself.

I did find the exact car i want at another dealer (arriving on April 13th)---it just doesn't have the Shaker 1000---but i can definitely live with that.
