I ordered my Satin Silver GT 0n 11/16/04. The system at Ford tells me "clean and unscheduled" as of 01/27/05.

What exactly does clean and unscheduled and not serialized meen exaxctly? i dont understand?

Thanks for the welcome Dave 02 GT. My VIN shows it will be Mustang Number 68005 when it is built on February 14. Hopefully the roads here in Calgary will be free of snow when it is delivered. Otherwise I will be parking it in the garage and waiting for spring.

hey guys this forum has been great . as i have learned alot and am about so search into the arrival of my mustang. here a little story how i was so close yet so far. I went to 5 dealears in the area looking for this 05 gt . at 1 dealer they actually had 1 with the 5 speed and well i asked the salesperson if he would let me test drive it because i was seriously looking to but it and he said no that that one was going to germany and that he had no other gts in stock he had the v6s which i was not even looking at so i said ill look around at other dealerships. well i went to the last dealership for the night and as i drove up there was 2 mustang gts 1 red and 1 black. there were about 10 sales guys standing around them checking them out , well i jumped out of my car as said "are these available" the one sales guys says yes both of them. so i got real exicited. well i said i want to test drive the black one . as i went to open the door low and behold it had the iup red interior with the my color well it was exactly what i wanted except it was automatic instead of stick . well i was ok with that at that moment . so we got in the car and i told the sales guy " I am going to buy this car so right now i want you to understand that i am going to drive this thing like i own it so i want you to hold on" well the guy smiled and said lets go. i left the parking lot fishtailed and spun the tires and well we drove it for 15 minutes . i came back ready to sign the papaerwork. i sat down and he started to get the stuff ready about 5 minutes in the manger comes up to me and says "i have bad news" my heart sunk i knew this was to good to be true . so i asked what is the problem. he said "would you mined taking the red one" i said hell no. he explained that before me there was this 85 year old gentleman with his wife looking at the car and they decided to go home and think about it as they were leaving the parking lot I had fishtailed in front of them and squeeled the tires , well he was so impressed by all this that he decided to come back and buy the car while i was test driving it. what a bunch of bull. well the manager told me he was sorry and he would give me the same car and would put me on the top or close to it of the order list. well the next day i came and ordered it. black with with the iup and red interior seats with black on the sides. and i also had the red racing striped put on. now i ordered it on 1/23/05 well when i made the down payment they gave me a printed receipt with a vin#on it i went to carfax the day i got that number and it said that this number didn't exist. now i checked it yesterday and it says 2005 mustang gt. also i got a order # of 5093 from the dealer and a priority #18 can anyone tell me if this is good or bad or what? thanks in advance for you help and hopefully 1 day ill get the car

i acutally heard good news today i called the number for ford and got a clean and unscheduled message. so i spoke to delearship and they told me that they just got 3 new ones in on friday and that ford told them they would be building and shipping 3 to ea. dealer a week. which he said would put mine to be built on feb. 13 he said i should see it in mid march. which i then told him that my b-day was march 29th he said he is going to do everything in his power to get me the car before my b-day. that would be awesome if so. i also asked him about delays because of the my color and iup thing . he said not anymore and that the only thing he is aware of is that the transmissions are delayed. so ill keep a straight head on my shoulders and hope for the best. i cant wait. when i drove this mustang it reminded me of my 89 5.0l covertible i had . well im holding on :thumbup

jplaytym, Congrats on your order. I enjoyed reading your post. You mentioned your car was to be built on Feb 13. What is your car number on your VIN? My car is scheduled to be built Feb 14 and according to the VIN will be car # 68005.

55140 is the number so i take it it will be built before yours well as long as i get it it dosnt matter when it comes. I normally drive a lincon navigator and well i am trying to sell that before this car comes and i dont want to sell it to soon because then i wont have a car to get to work in so im trying to do all this in the right time but its hard to plan when you dont have an exact date for something (mustang being delivered date) oh well

HOLD ON TO THE NAVIATOR!!!!! Since I had a first week of January build date, I had no problem selling my Dodge Avenger

last week. Of course now that my build date is kaputz, I'm lucky that my neighbor is letting me borrow his Nissan Pulsar. It comes complete with a rear end that sounds like some shadetree mechanic took a pipe wrench to it. But it gets me to work, so far. By the way, that's pretty funny that you got your Stang taken away by an 85 year old

Hey superdave7 funny you say that about the 85 year old man that took my car my wife raged on me about the same thing but like i told her .i got to trully rag and open the car up which i probably wouldnt have done normally so now this guy gets a ragged out mustang as when i get mine it will be brand new and i will baby it the first 1000 miles to break it in properly. so ha

to that old man . hes just trying to reclaim his youth hell probably have a heart attack on the first time he steps on the gas anyways. well lilke i said to all hang in there we all have a long wait but after looking into things i think that we will all be ok in the end
