Im hearing mixed reviews on this. From reading post around this site most have recieved 3 weeks after car has been built. Correct me if i wrong guys.

So stanger your say it will take another month and a half to get here after car has been built?

i ordered mine in january if i recieved by march 20 it would almost be 8 weeks not four.

Ordered on 12/30/04, still clean and unscheduled. Satin silver GT deluxe (didn't want shaker - going aftermarket on stereo) with dark charcoal leather, stick, active anti-theft, and sport appearance. No IUP because of delay and it still isn't scheduled. Might have to go looking at dealer stocks!

I'm over the 9 week mark now and no news as usual from my dealer. I have to wonder w/ a lot of similar problems people are having w/ their new cars. Has anyone heard of a recall yet on any of these issues? If my new car was on it's 2nd tranny and 3rd rear end before the 1st 1000 miles. I believe there's a member on this board in this situation. I'd be at the dealer looking for a refund. Also, is Ford just pushing these cars out w/ the bad shakers which it sounds as if everyone who has one reports problems. Just getting discouraged I guess. This car will not be sitting in the garage as I plan on putting 500 miles per week on it. Maybe I need to reconsider

If I'm not mistaken, manufacturers recall vehicles for safety reasons, like airbags deploying for no reason or tires exploding at freeway speeds (Stuff that causes injuries and even deaths). Skipping CDs, fuel filler problems, popping front suspensions and the other items mentioned may be a major inconvenience, but they will only cause technical service bulletins.

I went to my dealership today and talked for awhile with the salesmanager who I've know for awhile to ask him about this weeks commodity report and if the IUP could cause me to miss my GT. There's a GT 90 miles up the road that matches the one I've ordered minus the shaker 1000 and I told him that if he thought there would be a problem then to try and pull that one for me. He said "No problems with the IUP or my order" the last GT they ordered for someone came in 40DAYS! (didn't have IUP) and said mine could be as quick as that (Not holding my breath on that one ) anyways he assured me that I would get my car as I ordered it. BTW he said his allocation for the year was around 30 GT's he also said that the allocation changes based off how many other units they move ie V6 and such. Again they are not a big dealer but I've seen 4 GT's on thier lot in the last 4 weeks, 3 for stock (all sold) and one special order (also sold) there are 2 GT's on order in front of me and they are for the city police department! hmmmmmmm........ note to self; drive slow they are going to need to pay for those.

roboha, you have us beat. We ordered a Torch Red Premium GT w/ everything but an auto transmission on 11/26/2004. We also are clean and unscheduled. It is really frustrating when the salespeople don't keep you up to date as to what is happening. If I didn't have these boards to get info from, I would have chewed up a couple of salesmen.

picking out my baby tonight, found a lot with 3 stangs.. silver, blue, and yellow.. i'm leaning on silver, but we will see. I could not hack it on the wait list. all 3 are GTs, but the silver has better wheels and a few other extras.

waiting waiting waiting called my dealer today and i know more than him when i told him i think they pick up orders on thursdays he said that he found out that this is what he has noticed in recent weeks that they do get picked up on thursdays. i i'm a priorty 10 what ever that means he did say i'm third gt on his data base to be picked up for build. silver iup dark charcoal the wait is killing me i go to dealers every weekend to see whats around and there is cars around but most want msrp or over mine is 1300 below msrp so i'm trying to hold out for it. ordered 11/23 i'm now in my 11th week wait.
