I want an 05 so bad lol.

I still get looks in my old car, I think mustangs still have that kind of effect on the people. pull up a light and see who's looking after you did a nice wax job ^^ or when you rev up to move like 2 inches and people are walking by turn their heads ^^ best feeling in the car aside from the back seat

I think all Mustangs turn heads, so I'm going to agree with MustangDewd.

This is quite simply a fact. The question is of course, how long will the new Stang catch a non enthusiast eye? I think we here are somewhat biased. We check out the other Stangs on the road because we love them. How long before a non Stang enthusiast is no longer interested?

I'm here in the Chicago area (not many new Mustangs on the road yet up north)and my car is turning heads from everywhere; it's pretty cool. Unfortunately, I'm parking it for a few months to keep it out of the snow and salt; so, I won't be able to drive it. Man I can't wait until Spring. I envy you guys from the south.

And my best one, The ups truck that was making a right turn and he too was looking and not paying attention to where the truck was going(he ended up making his turn so wide he was going into the other lanes)And there are the pointers.. That’s just few to name how about you all.
Ha ha ha.. yeah I had that one too!! (dude had his whole head out the window!) I've had tons of "thumbs up"... also some people driving alittle tooooo close (hate that sh@t). the best was I was in Conn @ the Mohegan sun Casino and I was pumping some gas. There was a older man in front, walking back to his car (probaly was paying for the gas) so he's walking back to his car and the whole time he's staring at our black GT... dude stared so hard and wasn't paying attention, that he ended up walking to the passenger side!! ha ha or I have had the local kids hooting and howlering when we drive down the road.. that's pretty funny.. Ours is one of very few around and I believe ours was actually the 1st one sold in the county.... I've have gotten stares in my past cars but damn not like this!!!!

Everywhere I go, people point, stare, and honk at my white on red GT premium with stock bullitt wheels. The most enthusiastic responses are from other Mustang owners. I actually had a conversation with a 2004 GT owner on the LIE at 80 mph.

I drive with the fog light on also. As day time running lights. Looks cool. I live in a town of about 50,000. Right now, I got the only 05 GT locally. Unless someone is hiding one somewhere. The local Ford dealership doesn't even have one. I had to drive 200 miles away to purchase mine.

Talk about double takes! It's been funny to see the reactions. It's great to see Ford revive the Mustang.........after so many years of ugly economy cars.

He's right. My twenty-five year old Fiat gets those rubber-neck looks all the time, and it is my daily driver in the same town every summer for the past ten years.

It IS a good feeling, though...and I love it too. Gotta be honest, it is part of the reason I keep her on the road.

After owning my Legend Lime GT for around 6 weeks now I'm actually getting a little tired of some of the gawkers. Some people just get too damn close for comfort. Speed up, look at the front, slow down look at the rear, etc. Weaving over into my lane, too many questions at the gas station, too many people just getting too close. I've begun to show the lookie loos in the other lane the rear end of the car very quickly. Needless to say they don't catch up for a second glance.

My car I swear was the first one in the Jacksonville, NC area. Since I got it in november, I've only seen three others and only one was a GT. I also had some guy in Low's parkinglot taking pictures with his cell phone also. People's reactions are so funny, I pick up my two teenagers from Highschool and the other kids go nuts.

Howdy, Yup I must comment too :-) First off this is my very first mustang ever, have been waiting to get one for over 20 years, 40 year mustang anniversary, I just turned 40 so I figured it was time . . .

I live in SoCal and we have been getting dumped on with rain/floods and all recently. I have had two people roll their windows down in the pouring rain to give me a thumbs up on the mustang, one who got splashed on good by another car infront of me . Too funny, makes me feel kinda weird in a peculiar way but do like it non-the-less.

New to the allfordmustang forums too, seems like a good wealth of info and peeps here, Thx!

The Legend Lives

After driving "family" cars for so many years, driving a car people are interested in looking at has really taken me by surprise. I have noticed most of the rubbernecking coming from kids in beat-up rice burning sh!t boxes with loud mufflers and guys my age (40's) in mini vans. I also got blocked in at a gas pump by two guys in a pickup who pointed and talked to each other for a minute before allowing me to leave. Women in general don't seem to notice. Must have other things on their minds.

Today I went outside to wash my car after getting pounded for several weeks in Socal from nonstop rain. Well, my water hose had sprung a leak, so I drove off to a public do-it-yourself car wash early Sunday morning. I had, one, no two, no three people within 10 minutes come by to look at the car. After finishing it up, and drying it off, it shined so crisp & clean in the sun today! I rolled down the windows and drive down in Pacific Beach & Mission Beach, and had tons of thumbs up, local kids going nuts, a group of 15 hardcore harley bikers all nodding their heads in approval. Yes, I can say that the 05' stang is probably the most appealing vehicle on the road right now. Saw an '05 GTO, and just thought, thank god I got a stang!

Cool Mixed reactions

I bought my 05 V-6 (enuff power for me) mineral grey mustang in Dec. and the admiration of others has been non-stop. But I also get the other reaction which derives from envy, jealousy etc. I can see it in their eyes "So what, you have the new mustang, big deal". They give me a quick glance and then look away with a different expression altogether. Especially from other mustang owners, meaning pre-05 guys and gals. I think they hate me the most. I have seen dozens of '04' owners who I know must be thinking, "Man, I should have waited"

I purchased my torch red/ red interior 05 gt Oct,29th. it was the 1st one in Polk County Ga. I was on trip yesterday , I stoped to get gas a man in BMW just kept telling me about how much he liked my mustang. And how Ford got it right this time! When I first got the car I had a dot worker follow me about three miles and when I stopped in the parking lot get my insurance card. He asked me could he take a closer look. I told him it was alright and showed him the gt. This mustang gets more looks than I can count. I agree with the BMW man, Ford did get it right this time!

I've only had two occasions in which people seemed to portray some negative envy, both were young male drivers, one I think was drunk, and both tried to start crap with me on the road while I was minding my own business. Needless to say, they both got a good stare at my rear as it dissapeared in the horizon.

I'm sure we '05 owners will be saying the same about the 06's. I find other mustang owners enjoy the new mustang, and only give me props.

I do find a lot of mercedes and bmw driver's with family members gawking at my car, driving forward looking at the front, driving behind and look at the rear, roll down their windows and stare forever until I show acknowledgement.
