What kind of response do you see as you are driving your new stang?
I have only had my new Mustang for 6 days now and I luv it...When I drive it I have the fog lights on as daytime driving lights(see pic)
The reactions that the car gets are truly Kodak moments. Like the ones who are driving beside me looking hard and not watching where they are going (like drifting in to my lane)
And my best one, The ups truck that was making a right turn and he too was looking and not paying attention to where the truck was going(he ended up making his turn so wide he was going into the other lanes)And there are the pointers.. That’s just few to name how about you all.
Same here. I bought my 00 jetta when they first came out and although people would look and point I never got the same kind of big smiles and reactions (from all ages) that I do now. A couple of stories:
When I was leaving a parking garage the lot attendant was so interested in my car that he forgot to raise the barrier to let the the guy in front of me out. The guy had to honk his horn to snap the guy out of it. By the time I had finsihed explaining that it was a V8, 5 speed yada yada . . . there was a lineup of 6 cars behind me.
I went over the border (Canadian eh!) for a cruise and on my way back the customs agent asked the normal citizenship questions and then promptly started asking about the car, what it's performance like, handling . . .yada, yada... He then wished me good luck and sent me on my way without asking if I had anything to declare .
Given the price of these beauties, I expect they will be common as muck soon enough and the novelty will wear off, but until then . . . .
I love the two for one, when they are pointing at the car and telling someone on the cell phone about it. Had a guy in plumbers truck hang out the window for a better look and then he ran off the road. I don't like the ones that drive on your tail to look inside the car or swerve into you while looking.
enjoy your 15 min. of fame. even the C6 vette nor the 300C can clame that.
Can you believe Motor Trend is naming the 300 the car of the year. What a bunch of moronic idiots. Anyway I'm still waiting for mine, hopefully won't have it by end of the month. When I first got my 94 Laser Red Mustang I had people asking me what car, color and etc. Eventually they will be a more common site. Nobody will be double looking at the 300 or C6. I work at dealer and earlier this week I saw a customer coming down the stairs from the showroom down to the shop floor. He had the biggest grin on his face I've ever seen on a customer, his wife had a big smile as well; when they saw their new 05 GT Mustang. I believe he had a Bullitt Mustang previously and I think I saw him pick that car up as well, but didn't have the big smile like had this time. I heard a story where people were following car transporters too dealer to get a better look (drive) at the new Mustang.

I think you just answered your own question. There are not that many Mustangs on the road yet, and plenty of 300's. Maybe the stang has a shot next year!

an the winner is ( chrysler slides motor trend a multi million add contract) mus---- 300c
due to all of the whiplash cases being reported the peaple agree with us.
I just got the scariest response...some idiot in a minivan in the lane next to me is gawking to the rear and goes left of center almost striking a school bus. That was a close one!
Let's see. I've had a guy in a lexus hang out his window and take a picture with his camera phone. I drove to orlando for the break in of the vehicle as the manual says. I varied between 70mph and 120mph. Every previous model GT mustang on the road wanted to race. One guy even passed cars in the shoulder lane to try and keep up with me, and lastly out side of Disney a guy rear ended the car in front of him when he was breakin neck to see my 2005 GT mustang. I laugh every time I start her up.
People love the car! Everyday I start the engine and roll...
out the driveway, I immediately get attention from neighbors. Let's not talk about on I-95, where people have sped up to look at the front, and decelerated to look back at the rear. True, this is our 15 minutes of fame, because everyone soon will own a mustang. But, what if Ford slowed down production a little bit? Besides the dealer, I've only seen one more Mustang on the road, and that was two months ago. When I picked her (Sofie) up at the dealer, they said they were leaving the lot two days after they arrived from customers. Well, I can only say that people were traveling from different states to get their hands on one. I used to have a 2004 Audi A4 with a sports package. And that was a serious head turner, but three months later they were popping up everywhere like hot cakes. Now, what might happen, is that Ford might gradually raise the price on these puppies because of the demand. But, until every house owns one, let us all enjoy being "That Car" on the city streets. Anyone in the MD area here?
I had this HOTTIE taking pics of me with her camera phone, i was trying to get next to her to offer her a ride, but the damn traffic would not allow it. it would have been an excuse to show off!!

I had mine for 32 days and I never got the response I'm getting with any new car even the '93 Cobra. So far not many on the road. I seen maybe 9 or10 in the past 30 days and of those only 4 GTs. One time a dude in a Fox body Gt drove past me while I was waiting to turn in the same direction he was going. He stopped and waited for me to make my turn and then got right behind me. Another in a white 03-04 Cobra was waiting to turn south and I was traveling norht. He immediatly turned norht and started to cut through traffic. I could see him coming in the left lane and just for laughs I made a quick righthand turn. Needless to say he was stuck in the left lane problably cursing me out. hahahaha.

The 15 minutes will be more like a year I'd say. Just judging from when I had a my first 95GT Vert, I was still getting all the stares, thumbs up, and "I love your car", deep into 1996, and figure, the body actaully changed in 1994, so...
Dam, I am jealous, I sure hope I can pull off an 05 vert this spring!

Ford knows that part of the Mustang appeal, is the pricing, not to say they won't raise it, but if they want to "Keep the legend alive", they should stick to the formula...DO YOU HEAR ME FORD MOTOR COMPANY?
