Default magnaflow cat back system

I was just wondering what the sound was like compared to the stock. I don't want anything extremely loud and obnoxious, but I want a bit more authority than what is on the stock system(the hp gain and looks are nice too). Any info you guys have would be great.

Listen to the new Mustang first before buying any aftermarket exhaust. It sounds great, not loud and obnoxious. Everytime a GT gets started at work (I work at Ford dealer) I can tell its a Mustang. The factory system is 2.5 inch mandrell bent stainless steel system, it looks better than most aftermarket systems. If you want a louder car, just get new mufflers. They are right at the back of the car and can be change by anyone with a few tools, jack and jackstands. Even the exhaust manifolds look like they flow well, but I plan on replacing mine with FRRP headers. The manifolds look very easy to get to as well and the Mustang now has a single large convertor per bank. It will be interesting to see how much hp and tq one can gain with exhaust system mods, I don't think there will be much improvement over stock. The engineers at Ford looked at what Mustang owners do too their cars and incorporated many of these ideas into the new Mustangs.

i have heard the stock and it sounds pretty good. I just like the look of the magnaflow's. with the 4 inch polished tips and since it hides the mufflers up under the car. its also nice that they give you about 12 hp gain. the magnaflows have also been reported to be quieter then most aftermarket exhaust which is what im looking for. I just want a bit more sound but not anything obnoxious. just wonderin if anyone has heard the magnaflows in person and what they think.

MustangTK what are FRRP headers, are they street legal. Should you put miles on it before adding stuff? I was planning to put a supercharger and headers on mine. I wouldn't mine my car being loud and obnoxious. I had a Harley so loud it set off car alarms.

Default Awesome!!

Just heard the magnapaks on an 05 GT and they are AWESOME - not really too much louder than the stock ones until you hit the gas!! Oh, they are so sweet - ordered mine and will get them on next Thursday. The really cool thing is that I have the second new GT in this guy's shop so he is tossing in all the dyno tests for free when he works on the mods on the car because he wants to build a good database on the new models. It's sweet!!!

I misplelled it it should be FRPP and its short for Ford Racing Performance Parts. They should be available early next year. FRPP also will have chromed cam covers, suspension parts and other items including a twin screw supercharger kit. go to www.fordracingparts.com

I just got the Steeda Cat-Back exhaust. I haven't had it installed yet, but I can put a sound clip on after I get it done.
