Any of you know what the stock 69 SS 396 chevelle would do when new zero to sixty and quarter? I had a new 69 325 horse SS when I was in college and it seems like my new 300hp GT is faster. I outran all of the Mach ones, and a Boss 302, as well as roadrunners when my SS was new but I believe this car is faster 0 to 60. My 396 had a bench seat and three speed. This is my first muscle car since college and its great to have one again.

Well the 05 is probably lighter than the 69 chevelle.

Hey, I think you stole my car

I like the 396 - it was/is my favorite chevy engine besides the 327. The 05 Stang shoud easily leave the SS due to many factors. Lets just say you will love the 05 stang if you like the 69 396 with a 3 speed.
