Just looking for opinions, I want to spend a little money and do something different than what everyone else has. Here are some amateur photochops I put together to try to give myself some ideas. Sorry about the cheeziness of the spoiler delete. Opinions and ideas very welcome!!
Just looking for a combination to slap some paint or paint and decals on. Thanks
I really like the redfire but I'm in a small town and ordering from the factory, and the one sitting in the lot is already redfire. Otherwise I'd probably do redfire with fat black stripes (on hood only) and some black decal along the side.
fwiw, don't like it - especially the white out between the taillights... to each their own though
I would go w/ the color you want regardless of what's on the dealer's lot... after all, the mustangs will be very common - it's what you do w/ it that makes it yours.
Nice work; I also don't care for the whte between taillights but your car! What about replacing the side "GT" emblems w/281 emblems, http://www.mustangtuning.com/emblems1.html , instead of having both? Several choices on website.

Thanks! Nice link to those emblems! I thought about that but until now I hadn't been able to find anything I liked. It's so hard to sort through the hundreds of car part dealers some times. As usual there's plenty of room for customization on this year's stang.
But the photochops serve a perfect purpose - you get to play around and look at multiple options before actually slapping paint or vinyl on your new car. Based on your experiments, I've been alterings photos of my car to see if I'd like the center raised part of my hood painted black. Thanks for the idea.

You bet. Are you using photoshop or another package? If you're just changing colors (not adding body parts or anything), I use the 'dodge color' option with the paintbrush in photoshop. I'm not exactly sure what I'm doing, but by using that 'dodge color' feature and the new color I want, I'm able to still save a little bit of the light reflections from the original photo. Rather than just painting it all the same tone. Helps it look just an incy wincy bit less fake lol. I'm not sure that makes sense to anyone but me, what I just said.
another s/ware but have pshop; time to get off my butt and learn more/thanks for tip - about 3 yrs from now when I've mastered the simple stuff will post example.

Just saw this thread again - this time clicked on the photos and saw that it's my car!
Pretty nice work, odingalt.
I agree with RPS - the center stripe looks really cool, but I'm not a fan of the rear (especially between the taillights) nor the side striping.
I like that my GT has almost no signage or badges - just the GT emblems and the rear phony gas cap, and the door sills. I always hated how the '04s and previous say MUSTANG across the rear apron.
odingalt, keep choppin on my car if you like - I got a kick out of this set - and at the very least got some new ideas. Thanks!
