Default 2005 Mustang Accessories from Ford

What is the story on genuine Ford accessories for the '05 Mustang? I've received the catalog from my dealer and while some parts are available (they're just carry-overs from other models?), the parts department is clueless on what's available, pricing, etc. I'm more inclined to entertain genuine Ford accessories before aftermarket. I'm really interested in the 17" polished aluminum Bullet wheels with the spinners (those are sharp and really bring out the Mustang heritage).

What's the concensus on what the best sounding aftermarket mufflers are for this car? I'm looking for more of a growl similar to what I've heard on 1968 Shelbys. I realize we're talking about a 428 CI motor over the 4.6 in the '05; so, is it possible to achieve a similar sound?

Thought I was going to goodies for christmas right out of the accessories catalog, dealer was clueless and baffled at the fact that they don't even have part numbers for any parts on car much less accessories.

Thumbs up

Are there any Mustang enthusiasts out there who are interested in keeping their cars genuine Ford (all stock or Ford Accessories only) or is mostly everyone into aftermarket accessories?

I'm not into any radical alteration of a car's design or engineering (although I like alot of the cars displayed at this year's SEMA Show) but I am open to helping and upgrading the vehicle's exhaust, air induction system and other tweeks that will help the performance of the car.

So I'm thinking of breaking out (a little bit to start) of the mold sort of speak, by considering some upgrades for my new car. What would be the formost considered and easiest mods to make (keeping reasonable costs in mind)?

As you can tell by my low amount of posts, I'm relatively new to the forum. I also apologize if this subject may have been extensively discussed on the forum, but I'm trying to summarize the most popular mods being made on the new Mustangs for some of us newcomers. Thanks for the help.
