Default X-plan Qualifier?

Has anyone been able to use the X-plan as a MEMBER of USAA?? That's about as close to qualifying as I seem to be, just wondering if it's a possibility for me. Seems like some organizations/companies require you to be an employee (ie colleges, etc), but others, if you're a member, you're good to go. My dad utilized X-plan as a member of the Disabled American Vets, and I don't think I can ride his coattails on it.....last I saw, only spouses were authorized to use someone elses X-plan. Just wish they'd have a partnership with the VFW, or have a military rebate, especially in a town like Virginia Beach/Norfolk.

Tks in adv.

Sailor,
I hope your wait isn't a long one... We recently purchased on X-plan. I can't find a list of companies or organizations that are elligible, but I did find some "rules".

The Partner Recognition Program provides special vehicle discounts to Partner employees and their spouses. The purpose of the program is to reward Partner Company employees, introduce Ford Motor Company products to new customers and recognize the loyalty of current owners. Participation in the program is contingent on the Partner Company's continued relationship with Ford Motor Company, and will stay in effect until terminated by either party upon a thirty (30) days prior written notice provided to the other party. Ford Motor Company may terminate this program upon thirty (30) days notice at its respective sole discretion. Partner Recognition Program transactions are subject to the following conditions:

  • Vehicles may not be registered or titled in the name of a business.
  • Partner employees may use up to two PINs a year for eligible vehicles registered to themselves or their spouses.
  • Vehicles must be retained in the customer's possession and registered as provided above for at least six months from the date of purchase or lease.
  • Customers must do business with dealership employees at the dealership and may not use brokers or "bird dogs."

If after ordering a vehicle under the terms of the Partner Recognition Program, the customer cannot take delivery from the designated dealership, the customer must promptly advise the proper dealership representative, and the customer must refrain from signing any dealership document indicating acceptance or delivery of the vehicle.
Since your Dad is elligible, you may want to have him on the title with you in order to get X-Plan. He will need his DAV card. There are more details but it is too lengthy to post. I can email to you if you like.
