Default Headlight Covers

Been driving my Mineral Gray V6 for about a month now and haven't noticed any of the problems people have mentioned in this forum except for the annoying fuel filler stuff. Easy enough to just put the gas in slower but it's coooold here in Michigan right now and the less time spent pumping gas the better. The one design aspect I never cared for is the clear headlight covers. Has anyone had the opportunity to try to remove them? Was it easy?

Must be a regional thing - I've had at least a dozen people tell me the clear headlight covers add to the authenticity and retro look of the car and that's one of the things that attracts them to it. I drive my GT with the fog lights on as daytime running lights - gets extra looks favorable and comments.

I like the lense covers, but they will eventually get scratched. Try using Plexus Plastic lense cleaner. Safer than Rain-X. I use it on my Motorcycle faring shield and Helmet face shields. Repells rain, moisture, etc... Rain-x will eventually fog the plastic and then you have to replace it. Works pretty good on glass too....
