Default Plenum cover on 4.6L

I noticed that some of the early photos of the 4.6L have a nice "powered by Ford" plenum cover, complete with the Mustang running. Is that available to the public, or just on the original few?

Only on pre-production motors. Wish someone would offer as an accessory. Sure would improve under hood looks. The first thing you notice on my 96 GT when you opened the hood was the pony on the engine.

It was probably the damn penny pinchers at Ford that got rid of the cover. Or maybe the cover caused some NVH issues. It too bad because the cover was classy looking and the black intake is just 'blah' looking. Also without the cover the engine looks too much like a Chevy V8. I'm sure someone will come out with a cover, possibly Ford Racing Parts. Or remove the intake and have a body shop paint it to match the body color.

Putting on the crappy plain black cover stopped me from going down to my local dealer. Looks like **** under the hood. Seriously.

If an independant parts company out there wants to make a pony cover for the new 3V engine, e-mail me when it's out!!

Ford Racing should have the cover this Summer.

Well that helps explain it, because I was wondering what happened to the cover. I think it looks like it missing something without it and I'd be interested in knowing when it becomes available.
