I'm really not following this. For a starting bid of $450 (whatever the winning bid may be), plus another $100 (maybe more) for certification, then plus whatever installation charges there may be, I can purchase essentially a decal kit sanctioned by Carroll Shelby? This doesn't even include the Lemans stripes.

It's nice, but it doesn't make a car a true Shelby. Kind of reminds me of the California Special packages some dealers were putting on the '67 Mustangs back when.

The Mustang GTCS (California Special) packages were real packages authorized by Ford, not just striping.

Check out a recently trimmed out Shelby Tribute Edition Silver V6 2005 mustang on the Mustang F/X website. Some of this Shelby Tribute badging looks nice like the GT 350 stripe. Other aspects of the kit look overdone like the front bumper number and signature photo. Rear Deck medallion that covers the GT badge looks ugly. Kits are pretty pricey and the additional certification expense puts this over the edge.

Dang, it looks in the one pic like he hit some poor woman in a bikini who flew up in the air and landed on top of his car!
