Default Custom Wheels for 2005 Stang

Has anyone out there put custom wheels on their 2005? I ordered the wheel upgrade, but now just think I need custom wheels. I have really liked some of the 20 inch rims I've seen.

My GT will be black and usually I am a chrome fan, but looking on tirerack.com... I ran across the SSR GT-3 in a bright satin finish (similar to gun metal/anthracite) and it looked really good on the black. They are a little pricey. Any other brands of wheels which have anthracite finish which are well built out there? Or anyone putting chrome on black?

Would anyone be willing to share pictures/thoughts? Thanks.

I had these made and installed this week. They took 7 weeks to make, but man, are they awesome. Expensive though.

Mark those wheels look tight. What size are the tires?

Not surprised the Boyd wheels took so long. Have you seen the TV show (American Hot Rod)? They fire like 3 people a day from there.

After watching that show I've lost ALL respect for Boyd. Wheels are nice, but I wouldn't give him a penny for his work. He gets it at the cost of his blind follower employees (fortunately Charley figured it out - Go C!). I'm not crazy about his wheels, but the rest of Foose's designs make me want to send my $ there.

Cheers.

I orderd a set of (cheap?) König Trouble 19s in charcoal graphite to match the color I selected on the car. I'm dressing them with Micheline Sport A/S 245/40/19 (for all season driving, looks, comfort, wear, and to get close to OM size...)

I went to a local shop near San Francisco where I live and they ordered them from a lsupplier down in LA. These wheels are 18 inch. I also decided to go with a wider wheel/tire combo in the back and front.
Meaning, the front is 8.5 inches wide and the rear is 9.5 inches. The car handles like a Ferrari!

GTMike - try looking at this web site to get an idea of the type of wheel you're looking for. I found the Foose wheels here and just went to my local tire and wheel place where they ordered and installed them.

good luck!
