We use the Mr. Clean Spot Free Wash and think it works great. I have heard mixed reviews, but if you follow the instructions it does what it says (for us anyways). The only thing my husband didn't like about it was that it seems to cut down on the water pressure, but that doesn't seem to effect the spot free at all.

Default Car Washing

Blue Sonic Soft Soap
Lots of soap and hot water.
Recommend waiting 12 weeks before any pressure washing.

All I do is spray it down with water, wipe clean with towels. Spray again with water, then dry with a chamois. Trying to limit any chemicals if possible on the paint.

losts of water, a soft microfiber cloth to clean it, and "the absorber" to dry it.
Then apply some Meguiars or 3M quick detailer.

No Kidding - peanut butter applied with a toothbrush. Some old time detailer told me this and it really works. I've done this for years.

Coral Blue down at Walmart is the best soap I ever used because it does not leave spots at all and you just let it dry on its own.

One more thing how are you saying the title(Washing the stang?) Are you saying washing or warshing? Just curious I say warsh.

I'm guilty of doing it myself but I stopped using the chalky, paste. Go get yourself some wax in spray form. It works a lot better and no residue.

It's not the soap that leaves the spots, it's the quality of water that you use. Where I live we have to deal with some really crappy water. It's so bad we don't even use it for drinking or cooking. Unfortunitely, I have to use it to wash my Mustang.

How long should you wait to use the clay bar?

Thanks,
